The spots for free courses are divided according to the institution’s quota system, with nine access groups, eight of which are focused on affirmative actions and one for open competition (group C). Among the free courses are:
Licentiate in Computing
This course aims to train professionals who master the basic knowledge of the computing sector to work in Basic Education in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, in addition to providing knowledge in computational and algorithmic thinking, digital world, and digital culture.

Pedagogy
This course aims to prepare educators to work in Early Childhood Education, the initial years of elementary education, literacy, and the education of young people and adults, as well as Educational Management. Learn How to Apply and Register for Free Spots at UFJF
Interested candidates can register for free courses at Federal University from 3 PM on February 10 until 6 PM on February 21, 2025, through the Copese website.
After reading the instructions, filling out the online form, and sending it, the interested candidate must print the GRU corresponding to the registration fee, in the amount of R$ 150, and make the payment by February 21, 2025, only through Banco do Brasil, respecting bank compensation hours.
It is also possible to request a waiver of this fee between February 10 and 12. It is worth noting that, at the time of registration, the candidate must select the desired location and pay attention to their choice.
The final result will be available on the Copese website starting at 4 PM on March 21, 2025. The days, deadlines, and submission of documents for the registration of approved candidates will be posted on the Cdara (Coordination of Academic Records) website. Classes are scheduled to begin on April 22, 2025.

Understand How Selection for Free Courses at the Federal University Works
Admission to the Distance Graduation Courses for free spots will occur with 80% of the spots allocated to the general public, considering the average scores of Portuguese Language and Mathematics, with the presentation of the high school transcript.
The remaining 20% will be allocated to active public school teachers who do not have a higher education degree or who are working in an area other than their qualification. Teachers must prove their link with their respective education networks and present, as a mandatory requirement, their registration on the Freire platform.
