The Chance to Enter a Free Public University Has Arrived! Unesp Released a Notice with Undergraduate Courses in Different Areas of Knowledge Such as Exact, Biological, and Human Sciences

The São Paulo State University (Unesp) opens registrations for the 2025 Entrance Exam, offering 6,596 vacancies distributed across various cities in the state of São Paulo. With 136 undergraduate courses, this is an opportunity for those who wish to study at one of the most respected institutions in Brazil, known for its quality of education and inclusive practices. In this entrance exam, candidates will be able to choose between the Universal System (SU) or the Vacancy Reservation System for Public Basic Education (SRVEBP), ensuring equal opportunities for all. Registration must be done exclusively online, until October 10, 2024.

Unesp offers courses in areas ranging from engineering, health, and biological sciences to humanities. Among the main options are courses in chemical engineering, nursing, biological sciences, and administration. These free courses are offered at units located in various cities in the state of São Paulo, such as Bauru, Botucatu, Jaboticabal, Presidente Prudente, São José do Rio Preto, among others. For the in-person courses, it is important to check the units where classes will be held, as each city offers a specific curriculum of options.

Who Can Participate and What Are the Requirements?

To participate in the Unesp entrance exam, the candidate must have completed high school. For the Vacancy Reservation System for Public Basic Education (SRVEBP), it is necessary to prove that high school was completed entirely in Brazilian public schools. Self-declared black, brown, or indigenous candidates can also apply for vacancies in the courses reserved for the quota system.

Registration for the courses will be conducted exclusively online, and the selection process consists of two phases. The first phase, the general knowledge test, will take place on November 15, 2024. Candidates who pass to the second phase will take the specific knowledge test from December 8 to 9, 2024. The final result will be announced on January 31, 2025.

Selection Process and Enrollment

After the final result is announced, approved candidates must enroll virtually through Unesp’s system. The first call will be on January 31, 2025, and enrollment must be completed between February 3 and 5, 2025. If there are remaining vacancies for the courses, up to 10 calls will be made, offering more opportunities for candidates.

Moreover, those who wish to compete for remaining vacancies can use their Enem scores to complement the selection process. This procedure will be available from February 28 to March 5, 2025.

Registrations will be open until October 10, 2024. To complete the registration, it is necessary to fill out the online form and pay the registration fee, which can be settled via credit card, bank slip, or PIX.
