The Offshore Oil And Gas Market Is Expanding Horizons For Women, Increasing The Entry Of This Group Into The Labor Market And Offering Several Competitive Opportunities. And, To The Delight Of Engineers And Technicians, This Week, Constellation Announced Its Trainee Program Ensuring At Least 50% Female Participation. 

Constellation, a company that operates in the offshore oil and gas sector, announced on Wednesday, August 24, that it is opening its trainee training program, ensuring at least 50% of all positions are reserved for women, to the delight of technicians and engineers who wish to enter the job market!

According to the application website created by the company, candidates must be fluent in English to be selected. Furthermore, the selection process occurs in five stages, which are: 1) selection of profiles that best match the opportunities, 2) online tests to assess knowledge in logic, mathematics, physics, engineering, and English, 3) in-person stages with interviews with Human Resources and writing tests, 4) non-technical exams and assessments to identify candidates that best fit the company culture and, finally, 5) admission.

Trainee Positions At Constellation: Check What They Are And The Requirements 

See below some open positions for the trainee program of the offshore oil and gas giant and a brief description of the duration and daily activities that will be imposed on the selected candidates. Applications are through this link. 

Electronics Area

The duration of the training program will be 14 months and  it is offering 3 positions. To be selected, interested candidates must have qualifications in Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications, or Automation  between the years 2020 and 2022. 

Among the responsibilities of the recent graduate in this program, the following can be mentioned:

  • Acquire in-depth knowledge in electronics and electrotechnics during the trainee training. 
  • Constantly familiarize with the processes carried out by the private institution, meeting the goals set by the group. 
  • Act as an assistant whenever on board. 
  • Support those responsible for carrying out activities whenever necessary. 
  • Actively engage and be in constant pursuit of knowledge for enhancement.

Machines Area

To work in the machines area, it is required that the education took place between the years 2020 and 2022 in Nautical Sciences, with certification (DPC-1031 Rule III/1) and have a Registration and Record Book available (CIR – 2OM). The training program will last for 12 months.

The selected candidates will work as apprentices and 2nd officer assistants in the Engine Room during navigation, and will also be responsible for monitoring activities. 

Drilling Area

This is one of the most extensive trainee professionalizations, with an average duration of 19 months and offering 3 positions. Only candidates with qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical, and Oil and Gas, both higher education and technical level, will be selected. 

The selected candidates will work hands-on with offshore drilling and gain a deep understanding of  the oil extraction processes for the creation of fuels and other derivatives. 

Submarine Operations Area

The professional training focused on Submarine Operations lasts for 15 months and offers 3 positions, requiring candidates to have graduated between 2020 and 2022 in courses such as  Mechanics, Mechatronics, Oil and Gas, Production, or Automation. Candidates will work as Submarine Operations Assistants aboard the Maritime Unit.
