USP’s Free Course Teaches UDL, Inclusive Strategies, and Neurodivergent Profiles; 5,000 Spots Open for Educators and Interested Individuals from Across Brazil.

The University of São Paulo (USP), through the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (Esalq), has opened applications for one of the country’s most anticipated free courses in inclusion and contemporary education: the online course Learning and Neurodiversity, which offers 5,000 spots completely free of charge, with a certificate and structured classes for those who work or wish to work with inclusive educational practices.

The field of neurodiversity is growing in Brazil and worldwide, driven by research, technical advancements, and increasing demands in schools, universities, and training spaces. Therefore, USP’s offering stands out: it is an academic diffusion course, with a scheduled start, specialized professors, fixed-time classes, and solid content, without losing accessibility and the free nature. Who Can Enroll in USP’s Free Neurodiversity Course

The target audience has been strategically defined to serve those who live inclusion daily:

• Basic and Higher Education Teachers
• School Managers and Pedagogical Coordinators
• Psychopedagogues, Advisors, Monitors, and Inclusion Assistants
• Educational Support Professionals
• Students in Teaching, Pedagogy, and Related Fields
• Individuals interested in the topic, with or without a completed degree

The course’s proposal is to democratize access to technical training, providing tools for those who need to understand, follow, and adapt pedagogical practices to different learning profiles.

Technical Content: UDL, Neurodivergent Profiles, and Inclusive Strategies

The content planned by USP brings together some of the most important themes in contemporary education. Between 06/02/2026 and 13/03/2026, every Friday, from 7 PM to 10 PM, participants will have access to modules focused on the pillars of inclusive learning.

The topics covered include:

• Fundamentals of Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
It opens the training by presenting the methodological basis that allows for accessible lessons to be conceived from the planning stage. It is the axis that guides inclusive practices in schools in Brazil and abroad.

• Neurodiversity and Learning
The course deepens the understanding of different cognitive and sensory functioning profiles. Discussions about learning rhythms, information processing, organization, attention, motivation, and natural variations in human cognition are included here.

• Inclusive Pedagogical Strategies
How to adapt activities, reduce barriers, and allow students with diverse needs to access real curricular content.

• Best Practices and Case Studies
Real situations faced by teachers and educational supporters, with technical analysis and practical guidance for solving everyday challenges.

The total course load is 8 hours, distributed over weekly meetings, and participants must meet 75% attendance to receive the certificate.

Why USP’s Neurodiversity Training Is So Relevant Today

Brazilian education is undergoing an accelerated transformation process. Public and private schools face highly heterogeneous classes daily, with students having multiple cognitive profiles, varied sensory needs, and challenges that demand specialized technical training.

The USP course emerges as a concrete response to this scenario, offering:

• Accessible, free training with a university certificate
• Content aligned with the latest research
• Classes applicable to everyday school life
• Real adaptation and inclusion strategies
• Technical language that is still accessible

For education professionals, mastering neurodiversity and UDL has become an essential need, not just a differentiator. USP’s training solidifies as an opportunity for those seeking updates and security in pedagogical practice.

Applications Open: How to Participate in USP’s Free Course

Applications for the selection process can be made between 24/11/2025 and 02/02/2026, for participants from anywhere in Brazil. A completed degree is not necessary; just an interest and willingness to attend the classes.

Official registration: Just access the institution’s website

USP warns that, while the number of spots is high but limited, those wishing to secure participation should register as soon as possible.

The Impact of the Course on Teacher and Support Professional Training

USP’s proposal goes beyond offering a simple free course. The university seeks to consolidate a network of educators, managers, and professionals who understand the importance of inclusion based on technical criteria.

Expected impacts include:

• Improvement of pedagogical practice in heterogeneous classrooms
• Increased autonomy for teachers in planning
• Reduction of learning barriers
• Strengthening of school teams
• Greater understanding of the neurodivergent profiles present in Brazilian schools

The course can also be beneficial for health professionals and caregivers, as the content aligns with practices for caring and supporting neurodivergent children, adolescents, and adults.

USP’s Neurodiversity Course: National Opportunity with Guaranteed Certification

With 5,000 spots, university certification, online classes, and in-depth content, USP’s initiative solidifies as one of the largest inclusive training actions ever offered by a public university in Brazil.

For those working with inclusion, education, educational support, school management, or simply wanting to better understand how neurodivergent individuals learn and develop, this is a unique opportunity.
