The Alberto Pasqualini Refinery – REFAP is located in an area of 580 hectares in the town of Canoas-RS. Since 2001, it has been established as Alberto Pasqualini – Refap SA, being reintegrated into Petrobras in August 2012.

The Petrobras refinery is connected, via pipelines, to the Almirante Soares Dutra Maritime Terminal (Tedut) in Osório/RS, and to the Niterói Terminal (Tenit) in Canoas/RS, from which products are transported by waterway to the Terminal of Rio Grande, in Rio Grande/RS.
