Vestas Now Customers of Casa dos Ventos with New Contract, Closing a Cycle of Production and Supply of Resource. The Agreement Foresees Supply and 100% of Turbine Production with the Wind Energy Generated by the Company.
On last Wednesday, (12/14), the companies Vestas and Casa dos Ventos signed another important agreement for their long-standing partnership. The energy producer will supply 100% of wind energy in the turbine production processes of Vestas over the coming years. With this, the companies close a productivity cycle and invest more and more in renewable energy as the fuel for the future of their businesses.
Vestas Will Be Supplied with Wind Energy from Casa dos Ventos in Wind Turbine Production after Signing New Contract
The energy equipment producer Vestas has been increasingly seeking to expand the use of renewable energies in its operations as a way to achieve productive decarbonization over the coming years.
To this end, the company has just established a new partnership with Casa dos Ventos. The contract ensures that 100% of the company’s wind turbine production will now be supplied with wind energy.

Vestas and Casa dos Ventos already have a strong partnership in the national market that has lasted about 5 years. During this period, the manufacturer has been supplying a series of equipment used at the energy production plants of the producer.
However, now it will also become one of Casa dos Ventos’ clients, thus forming a virtuous cycle that seeks to encourage sustainability in Brazilian industrial processes.
The contract was quite satisfactory for Casa dos Ventos, as it is a partner company that will now also leverage the expertise of the producer to invest in wind energy, as highlighted by Lucas Araripe, Director of New Business at Casa dos Ventos.
Contracts with Casa dos Ventos Total Over R$ 7.5 Billion in Negotiated Wind Energy by 2025
The last few years have been essential for the growth of the renewable energy market in Brazil, due to the race for decarbonization in industrial sectors and the new discussions on sustainability in companies.
Thus, Casa dos Ventos is taking advantage of the scenario to expand its presence in the wind energy sector.
By the year 2025, the company has already accumulated over R$ 7.5 billion in negotiated contracts for the supply of wind energy. In addition, the group’s consolidated figures exceed 1.4 GWm in volume negotiated per month.
The contract with Vestas for turbine production supply will boost the sector over the coming years.
Thus, Jonathan Colombo, Head of Sustainability for Latin America at Vestas, commented on the scenario, highlighting that “In February 2020, we launched our first Sustainability Strategy, titled ‘Sustainability in Everything We Do’. Among the four strategic objectives, this initiative reinforces our commitment to lead the transition to a world fully powered by sustainable energy. To achieve this, we will not use carbon offsets to help us reach carbon neutrality by 2030.”
“The action complements the entire value chain of Vestas in the Circularity Roadmap, setting new goals in three main areas: design, operations, and material recovery, which will allow us to produce wind turbines with zero waste by 2040. The goals that will drive sector changes are only possible with partnerships like this,” concluded the executive.
