Multinational Volkswagen Offers 3,718 Positions in Free Semi-Presential Professional Qualification Courses in the Areas of Mechanical Maintenance, Electrical, Refrigeration, and More

The world’s largest vehicle manufacturer, Volkswagen, is calling on young people interested in entering the industry. In total, there are over 3,000 positions in free professional qualification courses offered in partnership with SENAI – PR through the “Carretas do Conhecimento” project. These mobile units can turn into classrooms, workshops, and professional training spaces. See below how to secure your spot!

New classes were formed yesterday (10/04) and there will be course options until March 2022. For now, classes will be offered in a semi-presential model with online theoretical lessons and in-person practical activities.

In total, more than 3,718 free positions are offered in 104 classes and 36 locations in Paraná, and the courses range from mechanics and baking to sewing and computer skills.

Students Will Receive 4G Chips to Ensure Prior Internet Access and Participate in Online Classes

The teacher will conduct the online (live) class directly from the Digital Knowledge Trailer. Each student will follow the lesson from their home using the 4G chip provided by SENAI, through a dedicated platform for a better experience. The theoretical part of the courses, which comprises 75%, will be in the Connected (online) format, where the teacher, in addition to teaching theory, will demonstrate all the practical parts on the same equipment that students would use in the Knowledge Trailer;

The practical part of the courses, which makes up 25%, will be conducted in the Knowledge Trailers. On the first day of practical classes, a rapid COVID detection test will be performed for all students. The result of this test is provided in minutes, thus allowing the student to participate in the practical activity. Even with the rapid test, it is mandatory to follow the hygiene and safety protocol of the FIEP System, which includes measuring each student’s temperature, mandatory use of masks, utilization of 70% gel alcohol, among other precautions, to mitigate contamination risks.

80-hour Courses in 3 Shifts in the Following Areas:

Baking
Electrical Installations
Clothing Manufacturing
Automotive Mechanics
Motorcycle Maintenance
Automotive Electricity
Industrial Mechanics
Residential Refrigeration

Requirements:

Must be at least sixteen years old, proven*;
Self-declaration of minimum completed elementary education;
Basic computer knowledge;
Must have a smartphone or access to the internet.

*Interested parties under eighteen will only be enrolled in afternoon classes.

Registration: Those interested in competing for free professional qualification course positions offered by Volkswagen in partnership with SENAI – PR can register through the Secretary of Justice, Family and Labor, in partnership with the participating municipalities.
