Discover The Design Of The New Virtus 2023
The new Volkswagen sedan debuts with a more polished redesign, with changes that are enough to differentiate it from the previous model, especially in its front fascia.
The model features new full-LED headlights with LED daytime running lights in all versions, which seemingly borrowed from the Nivus, in addition to a new front grille with two chrome strips, one at the top and another at the bottom. The hood is also new, featuring a profile taller than its predecessor and a straighter design.
The front bumper is also new, bringing a larger air intake in the center with a fully black finish, which gains outlines in glossy black and chrome strips in the more expensive versions. There are also fog lights at the ends positioned vertically, another heritage of the Nivus that fits well on the new Volkswagen sedan. The wheels have been redesigned, with the Highline version receiving a set of 17-inch wheels with a diamond finish.
Volkswagen Also Focuses On The Electric Car Market
In addition to the new Volkswagen sedan, the automotive giant also has ambitious plans to launch an electric car in the U.S., with an estimated price of US$ 35,000.
This launch is expected to happen within three to four years. Reinhard Fischer, Senior Vice President and Head of Strategy for Volkswagen Group of America, emphasizes that Volkswagen is not scaling back its efforts in the electric vehicle segment in the American market.
The locations considered for manufacturing the vehicle include the company’s plants in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Puebla, Mexico. Notably, the Chattanooga plant is already home to the ID.4, an electric SUV from the brand available in eight different versions, with prices starting at US$ 38,995, equivalent to R$ 192,000 in direct conversion.
