Voltalia: Leadership in Clean Energy
With an impressive track record of investments in clean energy in the Brazilian Northeast, Voltalia is ready to harness the potential of Green Hydrogen in the region.
Robert Klein, CEO of Voltalia Brazil, emphasizes the highly competitive solar and wind energy potential in the region, which can drive Green Hydrogen production for global markets.
Europe, in particular, is seeking alternatives to fossil fuels, positioning the Port of Rotterdam as a key hub for Green Hydrogen distribution.
Ceará and Pecém: Potential for the Green Hydrogen Revolution
The Government of the State of Ceará and CIPP are committed to exploring the potential for developing the production, distribution, storage, and transportation chain of Green Hydrogen in the Pecém Complex. This initiative is a crucial step in the fight against climate change and the pursuit of global decarbonization.
This agreement, signed during the World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition 2023, signals a joint commitment to cooperate in the development of Green Hydrogen, Green Ammonia, and e-Methanol. The plan includes training local labor, structuring an appropriate supply chain, and optimizing conditions for a production unit within the CIPP’s Export Processing Zone (ZPE).
The Future is Green and Prosperous
This pioneering partnership between Voltalia, Ceará, and Pecém is more than just progress in clean energy. It is a revolution that promises to positively impact not only the environment but also the economy and society.
The generation of Green Hydrogen is a step toward a cleaner and more prosperous future, creating sustainable business opportunities and jobs for local communities. And as Robert Klein, CEO of Voltalia, aptly puts it, “we are happy to lead this movement and participate in an energy revolution that will positively impact not only the environment but also the economy and society.”
