The WEG HVService team is proud to participate and contribute to such an innovative and important project in the oil and gas segment.

Through its HVService team, WEG, based at WEG Portugal's facilities, successfully completed, in the first quarter of 2022, the commissioning of two Medium Voltage Drives for low pressure (LP) fuel gas centrifugal compressors. on an FPSO (Floating Storage and Offloading Unit) vessel in the Gulf of Mexico.

For this project, WEG supplied two Medium Voltage MVW3000 Drives (6900V, 110А) and two MGF 450 Induction Motors (6900V 850kW). These solutions were successfully commissioned at FSPO, which included the complete inspection, tests, measurements and necessary adjustments to ensure the proper functioning of the compressors, responsible for controlling the pressure and transporting the gas to an onshore station.

WEG delivers giant transformer measuring 10,1 meters high and weighing 271,1 tons for the Neoenergia Oiti Wind Complex, in northeastern Brazil

The works of the Wind Complex neoenergy Oitis, the company's largest in Brazil, located between Piauí and Bahia, are advancing at an accelerated pace. The first of three transformers that will be installed at the Oitis substation has just been delivered by WEG, one of the largest manufacturers of turbines and electric motors in the world. Each equipment has a capacity of 230 MVA.

Manufactured by WEG in Betim (MG), the transformer arrived at the project after 45 days of travel, covering 3.297 kilometers. Due to the size of the equipment, which measures around 10,1 meters in height and weighs 271,1 tons (filled with oil), a complex logistical operation was required. The other two transformers will be delivered in December.
