The technology and innovation market is hotter than ever; however, on the flip side, there is a scenario of a deficit of professionals to fill the emerging positions. By 2025, the expectation is that there will be a demand for 797,000 new talents in the field. This is revealed by a study from the Brazilian Association of Information Technology and Communications Companies (Brasscom).

To meet this need, Take Blip, a leading company in business messaging and conversational commerce offering communication solutions between brands and consumers through conversational apps like WhatsApp, has just opened enrollment for 10,000 spots in a free course for those who want to take their first steps in programming. The “Take Blip Web Developer” bootcamp is held in partnership with the Órbi Academy Techboost, one of the largest training programs for technology professionals in Brazil, in collaboration with DIO, an open education platform for access to technology.

Startup Aims to Train Web Developers Who Want to Start in Technology, Anywhere in Brazil

The goal is to train web developers who wish to enter the technology field, anywhere in Brazil. The program offers 78 hours of educational experiences focused on basic software development knowledge, including the languages HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The courses are recorded so that individuals can have the flexibility to watch whenever it’s best for them, but the deadline for completing the content pathways is until March 20.

At the end of the bootcamp, those who complete the program will receive a certificate and a free month of DIO Pro, a DIO plan providing access to various courses that can further boost their careers. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to join LIVE sessions with mentorship from experts to clarify technical learning and career questions in the IT market. The program is 100% free and has no prerequisites.

“This bootcamp was planned with a lot of care and attention. We focused on providing basic and accessible knowledge so that anyone with a minimum understanding of computers and access to a computer can use the course to start a career in IT and enhance their employability potential. There are 10,000 scholarships available, and we seek partnerships with institutions that can help reach the people who need it most. We understand that the positive impact will be not only in the lives of these individuals but also in creating new talents for the IT market, benefiting various companies,” says Rafaela Marteleto, coordinator of the Social Impact and ESG area at Take Blip.

Free Online Courses Offer Technological Inclusion

The “Take Blip Web Developer” is an inclusive program, as it addresses knowledge and methodologies for those who want to start developing web pages and websites from scratch. All technologies introduced in the course do not require the installation of complex programs on the computer and can even be used from a smartphone.

“With the advancement of technology, and also as a consequence of the pandemic, many people lost their jobs and were forced to find new employment in more digital work formats. Given this context, new, faster, and more practical learning methods are needed to broaden access to quality education. The Órbi Academy Techboost Program is ideal for those who want to start a career in technology because, in addition to developing technical skills, it provides information on how to build a career in the tech market and enhances job opportunities,” says Dany Carvalho, CEO of Órbi Academy Techboost.

In 2021, Take Blip conducted two other bootcamp editions with Órbi Academy Techboost and offered 20,000 scholarships. With this edition in 2022, the company totals 30,000 spots to train developer talents.

For the CEO of DIO, Iglá Generoso, the offering of yet another program with a major partner company and a reference in technology is always a victory for the startup, which has the significant mission of democratizing access to technology education. “This way, we can provide the socioeconomic inclusion of millions of Brazilians through the generation of opportunities in the tech market,” he assesses.
