Energisa Opens Solar Energy Complex in Uberlândia, MG

Alsol Energias Renováveis, a company belonging to the Energisa group, inaugurated today a new solar energy complex in Uberlândia, in the state of Minas Gerais. The Granja Marileusa I plant was inaugurated, with a generation capacity of 6 megawatts-peak. With an investment of R$ 100 million, two more photovoltaic plants will be delivered by the end of November.

The inauguration was attended by the governor of the state of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema. The governor emphasized the importance of energy in attracting investments to the state. In addition, Zema also spoke about the importance of the privatization of Cemig – Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais. Zema stated that “It’s the only viable solution today. Another alternative would be a contribution of R$ 15 billion to the company. The government cannot even pay its employees on time.”
