Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics – IBGE Will Launch Notices for the Contest with 208,695 Positions at the Beginning of March
The notices for the next IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics) contest for temporary hiring will be released by March 10. In total, 208,695 positions will be offered for different roles and education levels.

Eduardo Azevedo, operational coordinator of Rio Grande do Sul, stated that service is expected to occur from March 2 to March 27, 2020. However, there is a need for the contract to be signed with the bank, Cebraspe, which could happen at any time. The amount of vacancies has been reduced. Originally, it was set to 225,678. Now it is 208,695.

The contest will offer positions for fundamental and technical levels, with starting salaries of up to R$ 4,000. Of the two new notices that will be published, the first will be for the position of enumerator, with 180,557 vacancies for professionals with fundamental education and an average salary of R$ 1,278.94.
The second is aimed at the position of municipal census agent and supervisory census agent, with 5,462 and 22,676 vacancies, respectively. For the role of municipal census agent, a high school diploma is required, with a starting salary of R$ 2,100. For the supervisory role, a high school diploma is necessary, with an average salary of R$ 1,700.
The application of the tests is expected to happen in 26 states and the Federal District. The enumerator position will cover 5,569 cities, and for agents, 4,612.
Enumerators:
- Exam with 50 questions (10 in Portuguese, 5 in public service ethics, 10 in mathematics, and 25 in technical knowledge);
Agents:
- Exam with 60 questions (10 in Portuguese, 10 in quantitative logical reasoning, 5 in public service ethics, 15 in administration basics/management situations, and 20 in technical knowledge).
