A partnership between the Cofen System and the Regional Nursing Councils and the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB) resulted in the announcement of 5,000 Free Specialization Course Slots For Nursing Technicians. Interested individuals can register for the selection process until February 14.
The objective of Post Tec is to enhance the training of personnel working in environments such as hospitals, clinics, and urgent care units. Additionally, the goal is to qualify care and reduce the total number of adverse events occurring within the Unified Health System (SUS) network.
In December 2022, the largest and most comprehensive free specialization program for nursing technicians in the country was presented to the public for the first time. The expectation is that Pós Tec will contribute to the training of more than 10,000 new technicians each year, according to projections.

The free Specialization Courses for Nursing Technicians provide students with a total of three hundred hours of improvement. The training for which students will need to prepare will have a hybrid structure.
This means that part of the material will be created through distance learning, while other parts will be developed through in-person sessions. Users of the CofenPlay platform will have access to theoretical information. The clinical part of the training will be conducted at the same workplace as the nursing technicians.

The deadline for submitting applications to participate in the selection process has been extended to February 14, 2023. It is necessary to access the Post Tec CofenPlay website through this link and fill out the online application form to participate. There is no need to pay a fee to participate.
The applicant is required to have a standard registration in one of the Regional Nursing Councils and a registration in the CofenPlay app before they can participate in the program. Additionally, having a work history in a medical facility counts as a necessary qualification for this position.
At the time of registration, each candidate is required to submit some documents, including a declaration of employment duly signed, proving the employment relationship mentioned earlier.
Furthermore, it is also necessary to present proof of serving or being discharged from military service (if male) and a certificate proving compliance with duties as a voter.
The candidate selection process has been streamlined and will continue to respect the order of applications from candidates for the position. On the other hand, if there are more interested candidates than available slots, a waiting list will be created with a validity period of six months.
After the analysis of applications by UFPB and Cofen, the categorized list will be released as soon as possible. March 1, 2023, is the planned date for the announcement of the preliminary results. Candidates who participated in the selection process will have until the 10th of the same month to appeal if they believe their results were unfair. On the 13th of the same month, the final result will be announced.
