Five Mid-Size Pickups Offer High Performance, Load Capacity, and Technology, But Still Fall Behind the Toyota Hilux in Sales. See the Technical Data and Differentials of Each Model in the Current Brazilian Market.

Even with the consolidated leadership of the Toyota Hilux in the Brazilian market, five other mid-size pickup models feature relevant technical characteristics, with power of up to 437 hp, towing capacity of 5,250 kg, and payload exceeding 1.4 tons.

According to data from Fenabrave and the manufacturers themselves, these pickups maintain competitive performance, even though they do not reach the same sales volumes as the Japanese rival.

Mid-Size Pickup Market in Brazil

According to data from Fenabrave, the Toyota Hilux continues to lead sales in the category, but competitors like Amarok, Frontier, and Titano have recorded gradual recoveries throughout 2025.

Automotive market experts assert that, although confidence in the Hilux weighs on purchasing decisions, other models may offer better cost-effectiveness in power, payload, and technology.

With so many options in different price ranges, the central question remains: which of these mid-size pickups offers the most suitable combination for the intended use—work, leisure, or both?
