Enrollments for the Free Online Course at USP End on July 26

USP is accepting enrollments for a free online course on Alcohol and Nutrition. Enrollments can be made until July 26, 2024. The School of Medicine at the University of São Paulo (USP) is offering 500 spots, giving preference to healthcare professionals. However, if spots are available, the general public will also be able to participate. So, don’t waste time and secure your spot!

From August 5 to November 5, 2024, USP will offer online classes on the effects of alcohol on the body and its relationship with nutrition. The free online course at USP will teach how to understand alcohol metabolism, how abusive use interferes with nutritional status, and provide tools to identify risky consumption.

Additionally, it will qualify participants to use these tools in the prevention and treatment of alcoholism. The course also addresses how alcohol affects different populations, such as children, adolescents, women, and the elderly, and whether alcohol consumption can be part of a healthy lifestyle. In other words, it is very comprehensive!
