With an excellent set of equipment, great payload capacity, and a classic look, the truck has already sold 700 units in pre-sales and is ready to compete in a market with high pent-up demand due to the lack of models of this size.

The Canaltech had the opportunity to explore the Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck in detail, directly at Fazenda Caiman/MS, and shares the main news and curiosities about it.

The Silverado High Country comes with a standard automatic step that adjusts to facilitate access to the bed when activated. The truck may not be the fastest, but it stands out for its massive 1,781-liter bed, even exceeding the capacity of the RAM 3500, the largest pickup truck available in Brazil.

Another highlight of the Chevrolet Silverado is its towing capacity of 4,128kg, even being less powerful than its competitors. The expandable mirror of the Silverado is considerably larger than those of the F-150 and RAM 1500, and can be expanded, being a distinctive feature of the pickup.

One of the most interesting innovations of the Chevrolet Silverado is the internal mirror with camera, useful in complicated maneuvers and heavy traffic. In addition, the Silverado offers Google Built-In, providing access to apps natively, leveraging the truck’s 4G for programs like Maps, Waze, and Spotify. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also available.

GM equipped the Silverado with a 5.3 V8 engine with 360hp and 52.8 kgf/m of torque, along with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a cylinder deactivation system called DFM (Dynamic Fuel Management), resulting in over 17 combinations of cylinder operation in V to maximize vehicle efficiency.
