The Amazonas government has again advanced in reinforcing public security. In this phase, it called more than 130 approved candidates from public security exams, expanding the workforce of strategic agencies. The new call is part of a larger package of 847 appointments, which the government announced at the end of 2025.
In addition, the state published the names in the Official Gazette, marking the beginning of the onboarding process. With this measure, the government maintains the pace of convocations started after the public exam held in 2022.
According to official data, Amazonas has already called around 3,700 professionals since then. Thus, the current call reinforces a continuous effort to restore staff levels and expand the presence of public authority.

Of this total, 16 serve as delegates, 25 as clerks, 48 as investigators, and seven as forensics, including medical and criminal experts. With this call, the Civil Police reaches 398 approved personnel appointed since 2023, considering all phases of the exam.
Additionally, the government allocated part of the new employees to the state’s interior. This way, the state strengthens regional police stations, reduces overload in strategic areas, and expands service to the population outside the capital.
Public Security Secretariat Strengthens Administrative Areas
At the same time, the Public Security Secretariat of Amazonas added 38 new administrative employees. These professionals will work in support, management, and planning sectors.
Among the appointees, one holds a higher technical position and 37 work as operational assistants. With this stage, the SSP-AM reaches a total of 150 incorporated employees, considering previous appointments.
This administrative reinforcement allows for greater operational efficiency. This way, the technical teams gain more support and organization, which directly impacts security actions.
Appointments Are Part of a Broad Security Strategy
The current call is part of a broader strategy from the Amazonas government. Besides the Civil Police and SSP-AM, the package includes other security forces.
According to official information, the state also includes the Military Police, the Fire Department, and the Amazonas State Traffic Department (Detran-AM). Thus, the government acts on different fronts of public security.
With this policy, the state corrects historical gaps and increases response capacity, especially in a vast territory with logistical challenges.
Appointees Must Meet Deadlines and Submit Documents
Meanwhile, the approved candidates must meet legal deadlines. The government advises attendance at the responsible departments within the period specified in the notice.
The appointed individuals must submit personal documents, proof of residence, negative certificates, diploma or certificate of education, and occupational health certificate. If they fail to meet the deadline, they lose their right to the position.
Furthermore, the Official Gazette of the State contains the complete list of appointees and all guidelines, serving as the official communication channel.
Public Exams Consolidate Institutional Strengthening Policy
Since 2022, the Amazonas government has adopted staggered convocations as a strategy. Thus, the state absorbs new employees without compromising the budget.
Official data shows that the government has already called about 3,700 professionals since the exam. This number includes personnel from the Military Police, Civil Police, Fire Department, SSP-AM, and Detran.
Experts evaluate that this policy strengthens the state’s presence, improves services, and enhances operational capacity, especially in the interior.
Interior Receives Reinforcement and Expectation for New Calls Grows
The distribution of part of the new employees to the interior represents one of the main focuses of the call. This way, regional police stations gain more professionals and broader operational reach.
At the same time, the government signals new calls, as budget availability and the exam schedule allow. Therefore, the expectation remains high among approved candidates awaiting appointment.
Finally, by calling more than 130 new employees in this phase, Amazonas advances in strengthening security forces. Thus, the state maintains public exams as the main tool to expand its institutional role and ensure greater security for the population.
