Resumption of Work at the Brasfels Shipyard Will Generate Many Jobs and Income for Angra dos Reis
The resumption of work has already created many jobs in the region, and formalizing the contract would greatly assist in the recovery of Brasfels and the city of Angra dos Reis-RJ.
The terms of the agreement between Keppels’ subsidiaries, Fernvale Pte Ltd. and Fels Offshore Pte Ltd., are the same as the offer made by Magni Partners (US $ 259,456,692.60) and would put an end to the saga of continuing work after the debacle with Magni Partners and the Arab Mubadala fund, whose negotiations were halted.

Under the agreement, the Brasfels shipyard would take over the Urca and Frade rigs and then transfer them to Petrobras, which has already secured a contract at a daily rate of US $ 299,000.00 for both, as well as for the drillships Arpoador and Guarapari, which are at the Jurong Aracruz (ES) shipyard.
The new negotiation appears as a final and concrete possibility for ending the work and maintaining the jobs created with its resumption, after the Lava Jato investigation pointed to irregularities in contracts and Sete Brasil entered judicial recovery.

Another Good News for Naval Construction! Ecovix Shipyard Announces That It Is About to Land Repair and Maintenance Works for Ships Providing Services to Petrobras, and Many Jobs Will Be Created and Preserved in the Region.
On September 28, the Ecovix shipyard announced that there are advanced negotiations for more repairs of ships providing services to the Brazilian oil giant Petrobras, and jobs will be preserved and many may be generated. The good news came during an inspection by Judge Fabiana Gaier Baldino of the 2nd Civil Court of Rio Grande.
The inspection continues the recovery process of the Group. The meeting also included representatives from the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Judicial Administrator, the company.
The judge inspected all the work being developed on site, highlighting the repair of the Siem Helix I ship, which arrived at the dock exactly one month ago. At the time, the shipyard informed the magistrate about the prospects of new contracts and that the Group is seeking to diversify its activities and generate more jobs in the naval construction field.
The Ecovix Group announced that there are advanced negotiations to carry out repairs on two more vessels at the naval shipyard: the Siem Helix II, a stimulation vessel that works for Petrobras in the Campos Basin, just like the Siem Helix I; and the Seven Waves, from Subsea 7, which also operates with the Brazilian state-owned company as a pipe-laying support vessel (PLSV).
