Brazilian Navy Signs Contract With SIATT for Supply of MANSUP Missiles on Tamandaré Frigates, Strengthening Naval Defense With National Technology.
The Brazilian Navy officially signed a strategic contract with the Brazilian company SIATT for the supply of MANSUP missiles (National Surface-to-Surface Anti-Ship Missile) on Thursday (26) in Rio de Janeiro. The domestically produced armament will be incorporated into the new Tamandaré Class Frigates, significantly reinforcing the Brazilian naval force’s deterrence capability.
SIATT: National Technology at the Service of Defense
The agreement, supported by the EDGE Group— a global reference in defense technologies— represents a milestone in the pursuit of Brazil’s technological sovereignty in the arms systems sector.
The signing event took place at the headquarters of the Navy’s General Directorate of Material and gathered military authorities and executives from the involved companies.

With a length of 121 meters and four rigid sails of 36 meters that automatically rotate to capture the wind, Canopée is the world’s first hybrid industrial cargo ship powered by wind, used to transport rockets and reduce fuel consumption by up to 30% on transoceanic routes.
The choice of MANSUP is not just strategic.
It symbolizes the country’s commitment to national innovation and the strengthening of the so-called Blue Amazon— the Brazilian maritime area essential for security, economy, and exploration of natural resources.
SIATT, a Strategic Defense Company (EED), has established itself as one of the main developers of high-tech armaments in Brazil.
With a strong focus on systems engineering, the company led the development of MANSUP, combining innovation with technological sovereignty.
According to the CEO of SIATT, Rogério Salvador, the contract is a recognition of the company’s capabilities:
“This contract with the Navy demonstrates confidence in SIATT’s technological and production capacity and in the potential of MANSUP as a strategic deterrence vector,” he stated.
MANSUP: The Missile That Will Change the Game
The MANSUP anti-ship missile was developed to meet the specific needs of the Brazilian Navy. With range and precision capable of neutralizing threats at sea, the armament represents a leap in the offensive capability of the Brazilian fleet.
The technology is 100% national, reducing external dependency and stimulating the growth of the defense industry. Vice Admiral Carlos Henrique de Lima Zampieri emphasized the importance of the new system:
“The integration of MANSUP into the Tamandaré Class Frigates will strengthen the maritime protection capability of the Brazilian Navy,” he said.
The participation of the EDGE Group was decisive in enabling the development of MANSUP. Headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, the conglomerate operates globally in defense and security, focusing on cutting-edge technologies such as autonomous systems, advanced propulsion, and cybersecurity.
The CEO of EDGE Group in Latin America, Tiago Silva, was also present at the ceremony, reaffirming the commitment to Brazil and the MANSUP project.
Tamandaré Frigates: New Level for the Brazilian Navy
The Tamandaré Class Frigates are central to the modernization of the Brazilian Navy. Designed with cutting-edge technology, these vessels will be equipped with MANSUP missiles, elevating their combat capability to international standards.
The integration of SIATT systems into the frigates’ project places Brazil in a prominent position in the South American naval scenario, promoting security and sovereignty in territorial seas.
The contract signed between the Brazilian Navy and SIATT marks a historic moment for the defense sector. More than just acquiring armaments, the country bets on technological autonomy and strengthening the national industry.
