The Brazilian Navy officially signed a strategic contract with the Brazilian company SIATT for the supply of MANSUP missiles (National Surface-to-Surface Anti-Ship Missile) on Thursday (26) in Rio de Janeiro. The domestically produced armament will be incorporated into the new Tamandaré Class Frigates, significantly reinforcing the Brazilian naval force’s deterrence capability.

The agreement, supported by the EDGE Group— a global reference in defense technologies— represents a milestone in the pursuit of Brazil’s technological sovereignty in the arms systems sector.

The signing event took place at the headquarters of the Navy’s General Directorate of Material and gathered military authorities and executives from the involved companies.

MANSUP: The Missile That Will Change the Game

The MANSUP anti-ship missile was developed to meet the specific needs of the Brazilian Navy. With range and precision capable of neutralizing threats at sea, the armament represents a leap in the offensive capability of the Brazilian fleet.

The technology is 100% national, reducing external dependency and stimulating the growth of the defense industry. Vice Admiral Carlos Henrique de Lima Zampieri emphasized the importance of the new system:

“The integration of MANSUP into the Tamandaré Class Frigates will strengthen the maritime protection capability of the Brazilian Navy,” he said.

The participation of the EDGE Group was decisive in enabling the development of MANSUP. Headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, the conglomerate operates globally in defense and security, focusing on cutting-edge technologies such as autonomous systems, advanced propulsion, and cybersecurity.
