Currently, EcoRodovias already has 24 solar plants in full operation, spread across seven of its concessionaires. With the addition of the new 21 plants, the group promises a clean and efficient energy show.
BR-135, which connects Montes Claros to Curvelo in Minas Gerais, is already a shining example with its six plants and 948 photovoltaic panels from EcoRodovias. The other plants are strategically located in regions such as Goiás, Rio Grande do Sul and São Paulo, ensuring energy for toll plazas, control centers and much more.
EcoRodovias' solar initiative isn't just for show; it is part of an ambitious decarbonization plan
The goal is clear: reduce greenhouse gas emissions and meet up to 74% of utilities' low-voltage energy consumption with solar energy by 2030. The remainder will come from renewable sources, with the acquisition of clean energy certificates (I-RECs).
In addition to lighting the roads, the EcoRodovias is also sparking local job opportunities. The company prioritizes hiring companies and professionals from the regions where the plants are installed. And it doesn't stop there, EcoRodovias already offsets 100% of its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions through purchase of carbon credits.

Technology and innovation, chargers for electric vehicles
EcoRodovias is not only thinking about today, but also about tomorrow. The company is implementing chargers for electric vehicles along its highways, with 56 pieces of equipment available for free recharging until the end of the year.
EcoRodovias is not just another highway operator, with the largest road network in the country, the company stands out for integrating important portfolios related to environmental, social and governance practices.
This project is a milestone in EcoRodovias’ journey towards sustainability. Aligning with global decarbonization goals and tecnologic innovation, the company demonstrates that it is possible to combine efficiency, environmental responsibility and technological advancement on Brazil's roads.
