The Company That Is All In On The Mission To Achieve Net Zero Emissions By 2050 Is Expanding Its Activities In Solar Energy.
The goal of TotalEnergies is to generate more than 100 TWh of electricity per year by 2030, and to become one of the five largest producers of solar or wind electricity in the world. The Tsu Haze Solar Plant, inaugurated in 2023, is a shining example of this.
Located in Mie Prefecture, in the south of Japan, the plant covers an area of nearly 77 hectares. With a capacity of 51 MW and about 100,000 high-efficiency solar panels, the plant provides clean and reliable energy for approximately 20,000 Japanese households.
TotalEnergies Is Not Only Focused On Generating Energy, But Also On Caring For Our Planet
The solar capacity in Japan has increased fivefold in the last 10 years, and the company operates over 150 MW of accumulated solar capacity in the country. In addition, serious efforts are underway to protect and reintroduce plant and animal species affected by the construction of the plant.
