Bugatti Chiron: The Idea That Became a Replica
The project arose after Burek’s previous experiences — years ago he had built a pedal-powered replica of the Mercedes SLS.
This time, the attention turned to the Bugatti Chiron. The model lacks electric or combustion propulsion: movement occurs because the passenger sits next to the driver and uses their own legs to propel the vehicle.
This unusual option results in a machine that you pedal more than drive — and still requires a push to get started.
The reason? To symbolize the supercar worth 14.8 million reais in an accessible (or pedalable) version and to draw attention to alternative mobility.
Where and How the Bugatti Chiron in Bicycle Version Works
The Bugatti Chiron-bicycle was completed in the European autumn of 2025, more precisely in September, according to the creator’s disclosure.
It is already circulating on the promenades of Warsaw, Poland, under the banner of the fictional brand Foton Automotive.
The construction began with a wooden skeleton and planks before gaining a complete body, according to the project’s author.
The traction mechanism is based on human legs: the driver is accompanied by a partner who pushes or pedals to help.
This way, the vehicle rolls down the streets, without a traditional engine, coming closer to the aesthetics and presence of the real Bugatti Chiron, but with human effort involved.
The original Bugatti Chiron is a high-performance hypercar priced in the millions of dollars.
By reinventing it as a bicycle powered by human muscles, Burek creates an impact: he questions the symbolic value of supercars, urban mobility, and design.
The use of the phrase “works as a bicycle” draws attention to manual and alternative mobility.
Limitations and Technical Curiosities
Even though the vehicle has the look of the Bugatti Chiron, it does not have a combustion engine like the original.
It will not break speed records — in fact, performance depends almost entirely on human physical effort and external pushing.
In October, the creator demonstrated exactly this, needing a push to get started.
The assembly of the chassis began with a visible wooden structure and planks before transforming into a complete body. This detail explains the artisanal nature of the project.
Furthermore, the fact that the vehicle is circulating on urban roads in Warsaw shows that, at least formally, it is not just a garage prototype — there is public visibility.
