The Caoa Chery Tiggo 7 2026 Gets New Design Inspired by the Tiggo 8 Pro, Redesigned Interior, and Focus on Technology. Registered with the INPI, the SUV is Expected to be Officially Launched at the São Paulo Auto Show
The Caoa Chery Tiggo 7 is set to receive a completely renewed look in Brazil. The new design of the midsize SUV was registered with the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), confirming that the national model will follow the aesthetic line already adopted in China and other global markets. The official debut is expected to take place at the São Paulo Auto Show, between November 22 and 30, where the updated Tiggo 5X and the new Tiggo 9 will also be revealed.
Striking Changes to the Front and Rear
The new Tiggo 7 features a front end inspired by its larger sibling Tiggo 8 Pro, with sharper headlights, a redesigned grille with chrome elements, and a bumper with sportier lines. The set creates a more sophisticated and modern appearance, reinforcing the visual identity of the Caoa Chery brand in the midsize SUV segment.

At the rear, the highlight is the taillights interconnected by a light bar, which now feature new LEDs and a more horizontal shape. The bumper has prominent side cutouts and glossy black details at the base, contributing to a sense of greater width and sturdiness. The set reflects a clear attempt by the manufacturer to bring the Tiggo 7 closer to the visual language of premium SUVs.

600 km with three Chinese plug-in SUVs, same mode and air conditioning on: Jaecoo 7, BYD Song Plus, and Haval H6 hit the road, and the pump reveals who was truly the most economical.
Renewed Interior with Focus on Technology and Comfort
The changes inside also draw attention. The dashboard has been completely redesigned, receiving new air vents, an all-new steering wheel, and a more refined central console, with a revised gear shift knob.
The digital cluster remains, but is now integrated with the multimedia center in one frame—a solution similar to that applied in the Tiggo 7 PHEV. The screens will feature new graphics and proportions, reinforcing the technological proposal of the model. The use of higher quality materials and the reorganization of controls give the cabin a more sophisticated air, worthy of a higher category SUV.

Engine Options Remain Diverse, but There May Be New Features
For now, Caoa Chery has not confirmed mechanical changes for the new Tiggo 7. The current lineup consists of three options: the 1.5 turbo engine with 150 hp and 21.4 kgfm in the Sport version, the 1.6 turbo engine with 187 hp and 28 kgfm in the Pro Max Drive, and the 1.5 mild hybrid turbo engine with 160 hp and 25.5 kgfm in the Pro Hybrid Max Drive, with a 48V electrical system.
Outside, the brand already offers a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version that combines the 1.5 turbo with two electric motors, resulting in 317 hp and 56.6 kgfm of torque—performance worthy of luxury SUVs. There is still no confirmation that this configuration will be available in Brazil, but industry sources indicate that the project is being studied for the coming years.
Confirmed Debut and Public Expectation
The Brazilian operation has already officially received the visual update approved by the Chinese headquarters. Expectations are high among consumers and dealerships, as the Tiggo 7 is one of the best-selling models of the brand in the country and is responsible for consolidating Caoa Chery in the national market.
The Tiggo 7 2026 promises to raise the standard of design and comfort among midsize SUVs, coming closer to more expensive rivals and showing that the Sino-Brazilian manufacturer continues to invest heavily in modernizing its lineup. The presentation at the Auto Show is expected to mark the start of a new phase for the brand in Brazil, with a focus on electrification, technology, and global design.
