The official notice for the PC CE contest will be published this Tuesday, April 15, as announced by the Governor of the State of Ceará, Elmano Freitas. The Civil Police contest will offer 500 positions for the role of investigative officer, a new career created in December 2024, requiring a higher education degree in any field of study.

Applications for the contest will be open from May 2 to May 16 through the website of the Fundação Universidade Estadual do Ceará (Funece), which will be responsible for organizing the selection process. It is expected that the complete notice, with all details about the syllabus and evaluation stages, will be made available tonight in the Official State Gazette.

The Civil Police Contest of Ceará Will Have a Reserve List

In addition to the 500 immediate vacancies, the PC CE contest also anticipates the formation of a reserve list with up to one thousand additional positions, which may be filled according to the need and the budget availability of the State. According to the governor, there is an intention to summon more candidates over time.

“There are 500 vacancies, but we want to call even more. This will depend on our financial availability”, said Elmano Freitas on social media.

The new role of police investigative officer arose from the unification of the former positions of inspector and clerk, as part of adapting state legislation to the new General Law of Civil Police. The measure aims to provide more agility and flexibility to the actions of public security servers.
