According to Marni Baker Stein, Coursera’s Director of Content, translating courses is part of an effort to democratize knowledge: “ Our AI-powered translation efforts expand access to students in Brazil , offering education in the language in which you feel most comfortable.”
In any case, the partnership between Coursera and Microsoft and the group Women in Cloud also resulted in the launch of the program Universal Access to Microsoft Skills Scholarship , another initiative that strengthens the inclusion of women in the technology sector.
