According to Marni Baker Stein, Chief Content Officer at Coursera, the translation of the courses is part of an effort to democratize knowledge: “Our AI-driven translation efforts expand access for students in Brazil, providing education in the language they feel most comfortable with.”
In any case, the partnership between Coursera and Microsoft and the group Women in Cloud also resulted in the launch of the Universal Access to Microsoft Skills Scholarship, another initiative that strengthens the inclusion of women in the tech sector.
