During The July Holidays Of 2025, The Traditional Maria Fumaça Ride Between São João Del Rei And Tiradentes, In The Campo Das Vertentes, Minas Gerais, Receives A Special Program For Tourists And Residents.

The Locomotive, Inaugurated By Dom Pedro II In 1881, Is Considered The Oldest In Operation In Brazil And Will Have A Total Of 44 Additional Trips Until August 3, As Announced By VLI Logística, Responsible For Managing The Railway Stretch.

The Special Routes Depart Equally From The Two Historic Cities: There Are 22 Departures From São João Del Rei And Another 22 From Tiradentes.

The Initiative Is Part Of A Proposal To Strengthen Regional Railway Tourism, Rescuing The Tradition Of Rail Transport And Providing A Leisure Alternative For The July School Holidays.
