The journalist, lawyer, and biographer of Elon Musk, Seth Abramson, criticized the billionaire and his admirers in a series of messages posted on the X platform. He stated that there is no evidence of Musk’s personal intellectual achievements and that the idolization surrounding the businessman is unfounded.

Abramson began his series of messages by stating that those who use Elon Musk’s IQ to prove his genius are in a “cult.” The author emphasized that, upon reviewing the billionaire’s biography, he found no evidence of personal intellectual achievements.

He was emphatic in saying that Elon Musk’s IQ would be between 100 and 110, and that there is no data in the businessman’s life indicating a higher value. “I want to repeat this now, so you don’t think it’s a typo,” Abramson wrote.

Where Did the Biographer Get This Information?

The intelligence quotient (IQ) of Elon Musk has not been officially disclosed. There are speculations on the internet suggesting that his IQ would be around 155, but this information is unverified.

Elon Musk has never participated in recognized public IQ tests, and he has not confirmed any value himself. Therefore, it can be presumed that the biographer’s statement is merely a guess.

Controversial History with Zip2 and PayPal

Throughout the series of posts, Abramson detailed Musk’s business history, highlighting controversial points. He recalled that Musk was sued for allegedly stealing the idea for Zip2.

Zip2, created by Musk and his brother, was described as a kind of “Digital Yellow Pages“. According to information from The Panel Online, from Belmont Hill School, Musk even built a fake shell around the Zip2 computer to impress investors.

The strategy worked, but investors agreed to inject US$ 3 million into the company only after Elon Musk agreed to be replaced by someone more experienced.

Abramson also highlighted that the code for the program developed by Elon Musk was so confusing that it had to be rewritten by more experienced programmers. Despite these issues, Musk ended up profiting when Zip2 was sold to COMPAQ in 1999. His 7% stake earned him US$ 22 million.

With that money, Elon Musk created X.com, an online bank that later merged with the company that founded PayPal. However, he was removed from the CEO position of the new company just six months after the merger.
