Electric aircraft from Eve, a subsidiary of Embraer, has already accumulated 2.800 orders and is scheduled to enter service in 2026
the future of urban air mobility is getting closer and closer — and with Brazilian protagonism. Eve Air Mobility, company created by Embraer in 2020, presented this Tuesday (8) new details about its eVTOL, electric vehicle vertical takeoff and landing, during a Bradesco BBI event, according to the Isto E website.
The company's expectation is start operations in 2026, focusing on short-haul, low-noise air transport with no local pollutant emissions.
Strong demand and Embraer's financial projections
According to Eve executives, the model already has 2.800 units ordered by 28 customers in 9 countries, with the potential to generate up to US$14 billion in net revenue.

- Estimated range of up to 100 km
- 100% electric propulsion
- Automatic takeoff and landing
- Low noise operation
- Zero local carbon emissions
Eve's Senior Vice President, Luis Carlos Affonso, highlighted that the main current challenge is the development of the production line, with different requirements from traditional aviation, especially in components such as batteries, motors and propellers.
Eve plans to operate in major urban centers such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Miami, London and Bangalore. Confirmed partners include:
- United Airlines
- BAE Systems
- Helisul

In Rio de Janeiro, for example, the estimate is up to 245 aircraft in operation, over 100 routes and 4,5 million passengers per year, which can generate $220 million in annual revenue.
Projections and certifications for Embraer's eVTOL
Eve was listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2022 and is considered one of the biggest bets of Embraer for the future. The estimated cost of each eVTOL varies between US$2 million and US$4 million.
The operation also depends on certifications from regulatory agencies, such as Anac (National Civil Aviation Agency) and the FAA (US Federal Aviation Administration), scheduled for 2026.
