With Motor Of Up To 1,250 W, Maximum Torque Of 70 Nm, 300 Wh Battery And Speed Limited To 32.2 Km/h, The Kit To Convert A Bicycle From Bimotal Bets On Plug And Play Installation, Integration With The Rear Disc Brake And Total Weight Of 3,050 G

Bimotal has introduced the Elevate, a kit to convert a bicycle with a plug and play motor of up to 1,250 W, 70 Nm torque, 300 Wh battery, and speed limited to 32.2 km/h, priced at US$ 2,195 in the USA.

Kit To Convert A Bicycle Bets On Minimalist Design And Simplified Installation

The Elevate kit to convert a bicycle from Bimotal stands out for its minimalist design that takes up little space and reduces the risk of impacts with obstacles. The proposal comes while specific MTB versions from other manufacturers are still awaited.

Several conversion kits for electric bicycles have already been presented to the market, some considered complex due to the number of parts replaced or installation difficulty. Models that fit onto the rear wheel disc have started to gain traction.

Among them is the Skarper, which requires replacing the rear brake disc with a specific model from the brand. Bimotal adopts a similar logic in the kit to convert a bicycle, prioritizing direct integration with the rear brake system.

Kit To Convert A Bicycle Uses Plug And Play System With Rear Brake Disc Replacement

To install the kit to convert a bicycle, it is necessary to replace the rear brake disc and fix a specific support to the bolts of the rear brake caliper. The motor is then mounted on that support.

The plug and play system allows for easy installation and removal of the motor whenever necessary, which also helps prevent theft. The integrated sprocket is responsible for providing power to the brake disc.

The motor is available in standard mode, with a maximum power of 750 W, or in MAX mode, which reaches 1,250 W. The torque can reach 70 Nm, with a continuous average torque of 50 Nm.

Kit To Convert A Bicycle Offers 300 Wh Battery And Total Weight Of 3,050 G

The battery of the kit to convert a bicycle has a capacity of 300 Wh and can be positioned in the location traditionally occupied by the bottle holder. The complete set weighs 3,050 g.

Of that total, 1,500 g corresponds to the motor. The weight is presented as reasonable within the proposal for a compact electric conversion. The kit to convert a bicycle has been designed to occupy a reduced space on the frame.

Another detail is the presence of its own application. Even though it’s a conversion kit, the system allows for modification and adjustment of different usage modes, as well as controlling parameters like battery duration.

Kit To Convert A Bicycle Is Not Pedelec And Has Speed Limited To 32.2 Km/h

Despite the specifications, it is not expected that the kit to convert a bicycle will reach our market at this time. The reason is that the motor does not operate as assistance to pedaling, meaning it is not a Pedelec.

This means it provides power regardless of the effort applied while pedaling, functioning basically like a motorcycle. Still, the speed is limited to 32.2 km/h.

The creators confirmed they are working on a version with pedal assistance, which is considered potentially more popular in European countries. The expectation is placed on this new configuration of the kit to convert a bicycle.

The Bimotal Elevate is sold for US$ 2,195 in its country of origin, the United States, a value equivalent to approximately € 1,851. More information is available directly from the manufacturer.

Amid the existing alternatives, the kit to convert a bicycle from Bimotal emerges as a compact option, with f

Com taxas, frete, impostos e tudo o que o Brasil coloca sobre os produtos importados, vai ficar muito inviável.
