South Korean Manufacturer Will Introduce the 1.6 Turbo Flex Engine in the Ultimate and N Line Versions, Bringing More Power and Versatility to the SUV, Which Currently Only Has Gasoline in This Set
The Hyundai Creta will have an important mechanical update in Brazil in 2026. Starting in the first half of the year, the SUV will offer the new 1.6 TGDI flex engine, a solution that expands the range of versions and promises to increase the model’s competitiveness among compact and medium SUVs.
According to information from the Autos Segredos portal, the engine will initially be available in two specific versions: Ultimate and N Line. Both are already part of the national lineup but currently only offer the 1.6 turbo engine powered exclusively by gasoline or, in the case of the sporty version, the 1.0 turbo flex.
Mechanical Update for Top Versions
The Ultimate version already offers the gasoline 1.6 turbo with 193 hp and 27 kgfm of torque, combined with the seven-speed dry dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). This configuration ensures acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds, a top speed of 210 km/h, and an average consumption of up to 13.5 km/l on the highway.

N Line Version Becomes More Attractive
The N Line version, currently equipped only with the 1.0 turbo flex engine of up to 120 hp, will also be offered with the 1.6 TGDI flex. The change makes the sporty SUV even more appealing, as it combines the exclusive look of the line with a more robust engine.
It is expected that, as with other flex engines, there will be variations in horsepower and torque when fueled with ethanol, but the seven-speed automatic transmission will be maintained.
Dimensions and Size of the SUV
In addition to the mechanical novelty, the Hyundai Creta maintains its dimensions within the medium SUV segment. The model measures 4.33 meters in length, 1.79 m in width, 1.63 m in height, and 2.61 m in wheelbase, with a trunk capacity of 422 liters. These numbers remain a reference for consumers seeking a balance between interior space and everyday practicality.

The news quickly spread across various national automotive portals, reinforcing the relevance of the update for the brand’s SUV lineup.
