An Italian design firm has developed a second version of a hybrid-powered flying yacht. This version is even bigger and faster than the previous luxury yacht.
Lazzarini, a design studio from Italy, has developed a concept of a luxury yacht that has hybrid propulsion, being able to fly and also sail through the waters. Called the Air Yacht V2, the flying yacht works like a kind of airship, but faster and bolder than its previous project. The main highlight of the current flying yacht, with hybrid propulsion and equipped with hundreds of solar panels, presented at the beginning of the year, has a new futuristic and more elegant design.

The current model features the same three-hull configuration, with two twin airships that make the luxury yacht fly. The main hull acts as a command deck.
The Air Yacht V2 uses more carbon fiber, less glass, and is 19 meters longer than the previous one, that is, the current one has a total length of 169 meters, bringing advantages in increasing speed with the use of hybrid propulsion. In width, the luxury yacht has a distance of 130 meters and a height of 40 meters from base to top. The central hull of the vehicle is 8 meters high.

Based on the designer's projections, the current luxury yacht can fly at a top speed of 185 km/h for two full days. In the history of aviation, airships are not seen as synonymous with speed. So if the hybrid-powered flying yacht really hits the market, it will surely be setting new records.
With the use of hybrid propulsion, solar panels and lots of batteries, the luxury yacht promises to set a new standard for the market.
Just like its first version, the Air Yacht V2 features twin airships filled with helium, light batteries, solar energy panels and rotary electric motors of almost 1000 horsepower each.
The engines are for propulsion and for use over water, where the vehicle can reach a top speed of just 9,2 km/h. In terms of comfort, the designers from the Italian studio designed, for the flying superyacht, accommodation for about 20 people, in ten cabins spread equally across the two airships. The flying yacht also has a master suite, located in the central hull, for greater privacy.
Interior of the flying yacht
The central hull of the hybrid-powered vehicle is smaller, yet more elegant compared to the previous model. Much of the space is occupied by the command deck, and there is also an observation lounge and dining area in this design space.
Unfortunately, more detailed images of the interior of the flying superyacht have not yet been released. Meanwhile, at the back of the stern hull, it is possible to see a large open deck, accessible by a large staircase, which can become a beach club while the vehicle floats or also an observation environment while the vehicle flies.
