In Torquay, United Kingdom, a complaint made on a Facebook page sparked an unexpected discussion on social media. The post sought to expose a Lamborghini driver who parked in a space for people with disabilities. However, the case took a different turn after the owner’s response.
The Incident
On May 26, the community page Spotted Torquay, which has over 89,000 followers, published a photo of a Lamborghini Huracán Performante parked in a reserved area. In the caption, a direct accusation:
“I have a Lamborghini, so I can park wherever I want, even if it means taking a spot from a person with a disability.” The post quickly attracted over a thousand comments, with many users criticizing the driver.

The Twist
But, just a few hours after the post, the owner himself appeared to clarify the situation. He posted an image that quickly went viral: lying in front of his Lamborghini, smiling, holding his disability badge, the Blue Badge. In the photo, it was also possible to see that he uses prosthetics on both legs from the knee down.
The caption of the image was straightforward: “A photo for all my fans.” The response received praise on social media. In light of the reaction, the Spotted Torquay page itself shared the image and acknowledged the error made in the initial judgment.
Many internet users pointed out that the original criticism seemed motivated more by envy regarding the luxury car than by a genuine concern for the proper use of the spot.
The episode opened up space for a larger discussion about the prejudices that people with disabilities still face, especially the mistaken idea that they cannot lead a full and successful life.
The driver, with his humorous and elegant attitude, not only defended his right but also turned the situation into an example of overcoming and self-control.
