Why Study Sociology in 2025?
With the intense social and political debates that mark the Brazilian and global landscape, sociological knowledge becomes an indispensable tool to understand issues such as social inequality, structural racism, power relations, cultural dynamics and the impacts of public policies.
According to sociologist Jessé Souza, “Sociology helps us to denaturalize what seems given, showing that behind every social structure there is a history, a construction, and competing interests.”
Studying Sociology with a MEC certificate is not just a way to advance academically. It is also a step towards forming more conscious citizens who are prepared to act responsibly and critically in the world.
