AMG GT 63 S E Performance Combines V8 Biturbo Engine With Electric Propulsion in Search of Maximum Performance

Mercedes has unveiled the AMG GT 63 S E Performance, its most powerful hybrid sports sedan ever produced. With a V8 biturbo engine and electric assistance, the model delivers 843 hp and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, combining luxury, technology, and track performance.

Hybrid Power With Track DNA

The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance was designed to offer the maximum in performance without sacrificing the comfort of a luxury sedan. The mechanical package combines a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine producing 612 hp with an electric motor delivering 204 hp, totaling 843 hp of power and impressive 150 kgfm of torque. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in just 2.9 seconds, placing the model among the fastest in its category. The technology was developed with inspiration from Formula 1, with direct involvement from drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, who contributed during the testing and adjustment phases.

Mercedes’ Hybrid System Focused on Performance

The new Mercedes car has two engines and accelerates very quickly, like a Formula 1 car. Even though it is sporty, it is also comfortable and full of technology inside.

Unlike many hybrids aimed at energy efficiency, the system in the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance focuses on sportiness. The 6.1 kWh battery features individual cooling systems for each cell, similar to those used in F1 cars. This allows for a more stable and efficient power delivery, even under intense use. The traction is all-wheel drive, the transmission is a nine-speed automatic, and the car features multiple driving modes for different track types and usage situations.

According to an article published by Autoesporte, the model is already considered the most powerful street Mercedes in the brand’s history. The AMG GT 63 S E Performance is expected to arrive in Brazil with an estimated price of R$ 1.6 million, aimed at an audience seeking extreme performance with the characteristic sophistication of the AMG line.
