New Brazilian mid-size SUV, called DACIA Bigster, is almost a 'luxury Renault Duster' that promises to sell like hotcakes in the automotive market. Find out everything about the vehicle!
Promising to be the newest success in the national automotive market, Renault will finally bring its new Brazilian mid-size SUV to compete with Jeep Compass and Toyota Corolla Cross. The new DACIA Bigster, the first mid-size SUV from Dacia, an automaker that belongs to the Renault group, has many chances of coming to Brazil as the Brazilian mid-size SUV that Renault has been promising so much.
New SUV arrives in the automotive market in 2026, delivering luxury design and cutting-edge technology
The new Dacia Bigster SUV is a car with large dimensions and resembles the size of a Volkswagen Taos. It is 4,57 m long, has a 2,70 m wheelbase, is 1,81 m wide, is 1,71 m high and the weight of the SUV has not yet been revealed, however, the enormous trunk holds 667 L, being by far the largest in the category. Visually, the car is indeed very beautiful and imposing and faithfully follows what was presented in the Concept car.
At the front of the new Brazilian mid-size SUV, we have gray appliquรฉs on the bumper, air intakes, full LED headlights and fog lights, as well as the grille, also illuminated by LEDs.
- In the R$13.000 range, Renault has a model with a 1.6 16V engine and 106 hp of power with an average consumption of 13 km/l!
- Goodbye Toyota Yaris Cross? New Chery iCAR 03 SUV does more than 30 km per liter and hits the automotive market in the range of R$ 130 thousand
- Volkswagen Passat 2018: The luxury and sporty sedan that offers more for less than a Virtus
- Ford Territory Titanium 2025: Now with surprising changes, approved performance and impressive consumption!
On the sides, the SUV offers two-tone paint, black plastic applique on the wheel arches, hidden rear door handles in the column and beautiful 7 or 19-inch wheels depending on the version. Moving on to the rear, the bigster has a gray applique on the base of the bumper, a very beautiful spoiler, full LED taillights and it attracts a lot of attention.
New Brazilian mid-size SUV promises to deliver up to 170 horsepower
Now speaking of engine, the DACIA Bigster initially has two options and one of them is the Hybrid 155. Its full data has not yet been revealed, but it has two electric motors coupled to the 1.6 aspirated gasoline engine.
All in all, there are 155 horsepower and approximately 26 kgfm of torque in the new Brazilian mid-size SUV. In the automotive market, we will also have a 1,4 kWh battery and the transmission is an automatic four-speed for the ICE and another two gears for the electric motors, totaling six.
The second option on the DACIA Bigster is the same as that offered on the new Renault Duster. We are talking about the mild hybrid, which is composed of the 1.2 three-cylinder turbo, with direct fuel injection plus a small electric motor, which replaces the alternator. It has 140 horsepower and 22 kgfm of torque combined.
This configuration comes equipped only with a six-speed manual transmission and the consumer can choose between front-wheel drive or 4ร4. For the Brazilian automotive market, it should only have the Flex set with direct fuel injection.
There are 170 horsepower and 27,5 kgfm of torque, linked to a CVT automatic transmission with eight simulated gears.
Equipment and interior of the new Renault SUV
For the interior, the DACIA Bigster is inspired by the Renault Duster, but it is much more sophisticated and you could say that it is a โGourmetโ Duster. The finish mixes hard plastic and rubberized materials, and a big highlight is the interior space that comfortably accommodates five adults.
The equipment list of the new Brazilian mid-size SUV is extremely complete and highlights include the panoramic sunroof, joystick-style gear lever, induction cell phone charging, electronic parking brake, traction mode selector on the console, digital climate control with two zones, electric adjustments for the driver's seat, proximity key, multifunctional steering wheel, start stop, electric trunk opening and closing with proximity sensor, fully configurable 10-inch digital panel and much more.
Another bad car on the market, instead of relying on the competition they will try to improve something that is already bad...
