Promising to be the latest success in the national automotive market, Renault will finally bring its new medium Brazilian SUV to compete with Jeep Compass and Toyota Corolla Cross. The new DACIA Bigster, the first medium SUV from Dacia, a manufacturer that belongs to the Renault group, has many chances of coming to Brazil as the medium SUV that Renault has long promised.
New SUV Arrives in 2026 in the Automotive Market Delivering Luxury Design and Cutting-Edge Technology
The new Dacia Bigster SUV is a car with large dimensions and resembles the size of a Volkswagen Taos. It measures 4.57 m in length, 2.70 m in wheelbase, 1.81 m in width, 1.71 m in height, and the weight of the SUV has not yet been revealed; however, the huge trunk accommodates 667 L, making it by far the largest in its category. Visually, the car is indeed very beautiful and imposing, and it faithfully follows what was presented in the Concept Car.
At the front of the new medium Brazilian SUV, we have a gray insert in the bumper, air intakes, full LED headlights and fog lights, along with a grille, also illuminated by LEDs.

On the sides, the SUV features a two-tone paint job, a black plastic insert on the wheel arches, hidden rear door handles in the pillar, and beautiful 17 or 19-inch wheels depending on the version. Moving to the rear, the Bigster has a gray insert at the base of the bumper, a very nice spoiler, full LED taillights, and it definitely stands out.
New Medium Brazilian SUV Promises to Deliver Up to 170 Horsepower
Now talking about the engine, the DACIA Bigster initially comes with two options, one of which is the Hybrid 155. It has not yet had all its data revealed, but it features two electric motors paired with a 1.6 naturally aspirated gasoline engine.
In total, it produces 155 horsepower and approximately 26 kgfm of torque in the new medium Brazilian SUV. In the automotive market, there will also be a 1.4 kWh battery, and the transmission is a four-speed automatic for the ICE and an additional two speeds for the electric motors, totaling six.
The second option for the DACIA Bigster is the same one offered in the new Renault Duster. We are talking about the mild hybrid, which consists of a 1.2 three-cylinder turbo engine with direct fuel injection plus a small electric motor that replaces the alternator. It delivers 140 horsepower and 22 kgfm of combined torque.
This configuration comes equipped only with a six-speed manual transmission, and consumers can opt for either front-wheel drive or 4×4. For the Brazilian automotive market, it is expected to feature a flex fuel system with direct fuel injection.
It will have 170 horsepower and 27.5 kgfm of torque, paired with a CVT automatic transmission with eight simulated speeds.
Equipment and Interior of the New Renault SUV
For the interior, the DACIA Bigster is inspired by the Renault Duster; however, it is much more sophisticated and can be described as a “Gourmet” Duster. The interior finish combines hard plastics and rubberized materials, with a major highlight being the ample space that comfortably accommodates five adults.
The list of equipment for the new medium Brazilian SUV is extremely comprehensive, with highlights including a panoramic sunroof, joystick-style gear lever, wireless phone charging, electronic parking brake, traction mode selector on the climate control console, dual-zone digital air conditioning, electric seat adjustments for the driver, keyless entry, multifunction steering wheel, start-stop system, trunk with electric opening and closure with proximity sensor, a fully configurable 10-inch digital dashboard, and much more.

Dacia é uma marca da Renault, aqui na França é Dacia Duster, não existe Renault Duster, ou seja vai outra cópia repaginada, os carros que vão pro Brasil são infinitamente inferiores dos que tem aqui na França, e custa barato aqui e aí extremamente caro e inferior,as tem brasileiro que compra… Por isso não mandam coisas melhores pra aí
