Recently leaked images revealed important details about the new Jeep Compass 2026. The next generation of the SUV, one of the favorites among Brazilians, will undergo significant changes. The design will adopt a more robust style.

The car will be built on a new modern platform. Hybrid and electric versions are planned. National production in Goiana (PE) is confirmed to start in 2026.

The new Jeep Compass 2026 will feature an updated and more robust design. Leaked images show inspiration from its bigger brother, the Jeep Commander. This is especially noticeable at the rear, which adopts straighter lines. The LED taillights are connected, giving it a bold and futuristic style.

At the front, the traditional seven-slot grille of Jeep remains. However, it will receive a more modern look for the new generation.

New STLA Medium Platform: More Space and Technical Base

An important structural change will be the adoption of the STLA Medium platform. This is the same base used in recent models from the Stellantis group, such as the new Peugeot 3008. The migration to this platform will allow for an increase in the dimensions of the new Jeep Compass 2026.

As a result, more internal space for passengers is expected. The trunk should also be larger. The STLA Medium platform is designed to support electrification technologies.

Hybrid Options and Electric Potential

The new generation of the Compass will feature electrified engine options. Hybrid and electric versions are in the plans. The 1.3 turbo T270 engine, with 176 hp (according to the source), is expected to continue being used. It should equip hybrid versions (probably of the mild or plug-in type).

The Hurricane 2.0 turbo engine, with 272 hp, is also speculated. It should be used in full hybrid configurations. The STLA Medium platform supports electrical systems of up to 400V. It allows configurations with batteries of up to 98 kWh. The electric power can vary between 220 hp and 390 hp, paving the way for a fully electric version of the Compass in the future.

Jeep Compass 2026 Production Confirmed in Brazil Starting in 2026

The production of the new Jeep Compass 2026 in Brazil is confirmed. The SUV will continue to be manufactured at the Stellantis plant in Goiana, Pernambuco. The start of production of the new generation is scheduled for the year 2026. The locally manufactured model will supply the Brazilian market. There is a possibility of it also being exported to other markets from Brazil.
