The Yamaha Vino 2024 was recently launched in Japan, standing out as an excellent option for daily scooter use. This new Yamaha bike is notable for both its classic design and fuel efficiency, offering an ideal balance between style and performance. In the Japanese market, the Vino 2024 is available for 214,500 yen, which corresponds to approximately R$ 7.2 thousand in direct conversion, excluding any additional fees or import costs.

The new Yamaha bike is extremely accessible and lightweight, making it a perfect model for the Brazilian market; however, there is currently no forecast for its arrival here, as the focus of this vehicle is indeed the Japanese market.

The Yamaha Vino 2024 features rounded lines in its retro style, including a round headlight at the front. For this season, the bike has received 3 new colors: red, blue, and the tricolor Beige, Brown, and Black.

In addition to its retro design, the new Yamaha scooter stands out for its low fuel consumption. The bike is a 50cc model because it is equipped with a 49 cc single-cylinder engine.

The engine delivers 4.5 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 0.42 kgfm of torque at 6,000 rpm. This is for a weight of only 81 kg. According to the company, the average fuel consumption of the bike is 58.4 km/L, which means almost 60 km for just 1 liter of gasoline. However, when riding at 30 km/h, the average consumption can reach an impressive 80 km/L.

New Yamaha Bike Also Gets Electric Version

For convenience, the Yamaha Vino 2024 also features storage under the seat for carrying a helmet and a charging port for smartphones. The Vino 2024 is designed for short city trips, which is evident from its tiny 10-inch wheels and only a 4.5-liter fuel tank. In addition to this new version of the Yamaha Vino 2024, it is important to highlight that the small scooter already has an electric version.

The E-Vino, the electric version of the model, received updates in 2023, gaining more power and autonomy. Initially, Yamaha’s scooter had autonomy for short distances within the city, nearly a recreational vehicle.

This way, the idea was to transform this scooter into a model for medium distances, such as commuting from home to work. This electric model is also exclusive to Japan, as the country has become a sort of test market for electric versions.

Scooter Options in the Brazilian Market

At the end of last year, the Brazilian market received an exciting new addition to the scooter segment. Called Citycoco, the scooter impresses with 3,000 W of power, is now available, and is approved by Detran. The model uses a motor situated in the center of the rear wheel hub and can carry the passenger at speeds of up to 70 km/h and has considerable torque for medium and large hills.

Clearly, in these cases, the model loses some performance but is able to overcome hills. According to the manufacturer, it can carry up to 180 kg in load, but it also loses some performance in this case. It is important to remember that the 3,000 W of the scooter approved by Detran are distributed in three riding modes that can be selected by the rider.
