Xpert Pack Opens Mega Unit of R$ 100 Million in Bahia, with 25 Thousand m² and Forecast of 2,200 Direct Jobs. See the Impact on the Market and Economy.
Bahia has just received one of the largest industrial investments in recent years, with direct impact on the labor market and the flexible packaging production chain. Xpert Pack inaugurated, in Feira de Santana, its new mega unit built with R$ 100 million and designed to operate on a large scale. With 25 thousand square meters of area, cutting-edge technology, and a focus on state-of-the-art Big Bags, the factory is already born as one of the most strategic enterprises in the sector in Brazil. In the first phase alone, the expectation is to generate about 2,200 direct jobs, consolidating the city as the biggest employer hub of the company in the country.
The inauguration ceremony brought together state and municipal authorities, reinforcing the weight of the investment for the Bahian economy. Representing Governor Jerônimo Rodrigues, Vice Governor Geraldo Júnior was present alongside the Secretary of Economic Development, Angelo Almeida, the Secretary of Labor, Augusto Vasconcelos, and the Mayor of Feira de Santana, José Ronaldo de Carvalho. The new industrial complex already positions Xpert Pack among the largest private agents in the local job market, which has been registering strong growth numbers since 2024.
25 Thousand m² Unit Strengthens the Flexible Packaging Chain and Expands National Production
The new plant is described as a modern and highly automated unit, capable of manufacturing all models of Big Bags available in the global market. Among them is the “Fusion” model, considered the first in the seamless line, designed to reduce failures, increase strength, and optimize logistic costs.

To meet sanitary standards, part of the structure — about 4,000 m² — is dedicated exclusively to the production of food packaging, equipped with clean rooms and strict industrial standards for storage and handling.

In addition to large-scale production, the factory will serve as a distribution hub for the entire Northeast region and other states in the country. This ensures greater logistical integration, reduces transportation costs, and strengthens the company’s participation in the national flexible packaging market.
Jobs and Regional Development: Bahia Leads Job Creation and Expands Opportunities
The arrival of the new unit occurs at a time of significant expansion in the Bahian labor market. From January to October 2025, the state registered 104,333 new formal jobs, establishing itself as the biggest job generator in the Northeast and the fourth in Brazil.
Feira de Santana, which already hosts other units of Xpert Pack and the partner Pró-Linhas, adds around 1,700 direct jobs just with these companies, a number that is expected to increase significantly with the operation of the newly inaugurated mega unit.
According to Secretary Augusto Vasconcelos, the factory reinforces the growth rate of regional income and expands opportunities in sectors such as industrial sewing, logistics, maintenance, and operational management. In parallel, Bahia maintains its positive trajectory initiated in 2024, when the state registered an increase of nearly 20% in formal contracts compared to 2023.
Technology, Innovation, and Industry 4.0: A New Level for the Productive Sector
According to Xpert Pack’s president, Antônio Oliveira, the inauguration marks “a new chapter” for the company. The factory adopts complete Industry 4.0 concepts, a high level of automation, and integrated monitoring systems, raising the standard of efficiency and competitiveness in the flexible packaging sector.
The structure was designed to serve both exporting industries and high-demand internal markets, such as agribusiness, food, and mining.
The presence of state-of-the-art equipment also contributes to process standardization, greater operational safety, and reduction of production costs, factors that enhance export potential and consolidate Bahia as a reference in the segment.
Professional Training and Social Impact: Ongoing Qualification to Meet New Demand
One of the highlights presented during the inauguration was the “Sewing Opportunities” program, developed in partnership with SENAI/FIEB. Focused on training for industrial sewing, the project integrates theoretical and practical classes that prepare workers to operate in high-demand sectors within the new factory.
With the expansion of the unit and the arrival of new enterprises, the goal is to increase the number of courses and offer continuous training for thousands of local professionals.
This model reinforces a social development strategy based on three pillars: employment, training, and productive participation. The initiative ensures that economic growth is not confined to investment indicators but reaches directly to families that depend on the industry for social ascent.
Interiorization of Development and the New Industrial Phase of Bahia
For the State Government, the installation of Xpert Pack in Feira de Santana is another step in the interiorization policy that seeks to distribute investments outside the metropolitan area. Secretary Angelo Almeida highlighted the confidence of the private sector in the positive economic moment of Bahia and in the favorable environment for business, infrastructure, and logistics.
With the new mega unit, the company becomes the largest individual employer in the municipality, strengthening the regional productive matrix.
The arrival of medium and large industries in the interior of Bahia points to a sustainable cycle of economic expansion, diversification of the industrial base, and continuous generation of new opportunities.
