The PM-SP 2025 Contest: What You Need to Know
According to the official notice, the PM-SP 2025 Contest aims to fill 2,700 vacancies for the position of Second Class Soldier in the Military Police.
The vacancies are open to candidates of both genders, and one of the new features is that the exams will be held in various cities across Brazil, making it easier for those living outside the state of São Paulo to participate.
Important Information About Registrations
Registrations for the examination are already open and will continue until December 22. To participate, interested individuals must register exclusively on the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV) website.
During the registration process, candidates will need to choose which city they wish to take the exam, selecting from 13 capitals, the Federal District, and 37 cities in São Paulo.
The registration is done exclusively online, facilitating the inclusion of candidates from across Brazil. The cities and states where the exams will be held can be checked in the complete notice.
Requirements to Participate in the Contest
The requirements to compete for one of the Soldier vacancies are clear and include criteria such as:
- Age between 17 and 30 years;
- Complete high school education;
- National Driver’s License (minimum category B);
- Minimum height of 1.55 m for women and 1.60 m for men.
It is worth noting that the contest also establishes specific rules regarding the use of tattoos. While they are permitted, tattoos cannot contain symbols or inscriptions that are offensive to ethical values, extremist ideologies, discrimination, or attitudes that compromise human rights.
Remuneration and Benefits
Upon approval and completion of the training course, the selected candidate for the position of Second Class Soldier in the PM-SP will receive an initial remuneration of R$ 4,852.21.
This amount consists of a standard salary of R$ 2,033.27, plus other benefits such as the Police Work Special Regime (RETP), which adds another R$ 2,033.27, and the hazard pay, valued at R$ 785.67.
This remuneration becomes even more attractive considering the various benefits that a career in the military police can offer over time.
Exams of the PM-SP 2025 Contest
Candidates who register for the contest will need to go through several stages, with the objective and essay exam being the first. The exams are scheduled for February 16, 2025.
In addition to the exams, the contest will include other phases that will assess the candidates’ fitness for police work:
- Physical fitness exams;
- Health exams;
- Psychological exams;
- Social conduct evaluation;
- Document analysis.
These stages aim to ensure that candidates have the physical and psychological conditions necessary to perform their duties as military police soldiers.
