During the celebration of the 25 years of Fort Atacadista , in the city of Joinville, the Pereira Group announced a billion-dollar investment of between R$700 million and R$900 million per year until 2027. This amount should reach the mark of $ 2,7 billion over three years, with the aim of opening 40 new stores, maintaining an average of 12 annual openings, according to the ncstotal website.
The commemorative event brought together the six Pereira brothers, heirs of the group founded by Ignacio and Hiltrudes Pereira , in addition to important figures, such as the senator Ivete Appel da Silveira, who participated in the opening of the chain's first store 25 years ago.
