Problems With The Multimedia Center Of The Renault Kardian 2024
Among the most cited points by owners of the Renault Kardian 2024 is the malfunctioning of the multimedia center, an essential component for connectivity and the experience onboard current models.
Owners report that the system frequently experiences freezes, slowness in responding to commands, and unexpected disconnections.

In some situations, the multimedia center only resumes operation after turning the vehicle off and on again.
Engineer André Luiz Eliseu Araújo, residing in Santa Rita do Sapucaí (MG), reported that his Kardian Première 2024 unit is affected by electromagnetic interference, as Renault itself informed him, highlighting that this phenomenon also occurs in large urban centers, such as Avenida Paulista in São Paulo.
In addition to this case, at least five similar complaints were found in owner groups on Facebook and another ten on the Reclame Aqui website, showing that the problem is not isolated.
Failures In The Automatic Transmission Concern Consumers
Another frequent cause of dissatisfaction relates to the automatic transmission of the Renault turbo SUV.
Many drivers report situations where, for no apparent reason and mainly in traffic jams, the dashboard issues alerts for the gear lever to be positioned in “P” (Parking), freezing the operation of the transmission.
Even after the complete replacement of the gear box by authorized dealerships, the defect persists in some units.
An owner from Brasília, who requested anonymity, stated that even after repairs, he continued to experience the same failure.

The procedure suggested by many consumers is to turn the vehicle off and on again to make the warning disappear.
Eight similar reports are documented in Facebook communities, while another five were found on Reclame Aqui.
One of these cases even reports the breakdown of the transmission with only 1,000 km driven, raising concerns about the durability of the component.
Braking System Of The Renault Kardian 2024 Comes To Light
The braking system of the Renault Kardian 2024 is also the target of significant complaints.
In July 2024, the automaker carried out a recall involving the screws of the drums in the Evolution versions, claiming that the problem affected a limited number of units.
However, new reports point to distinct failures, such as locking up and temporary loss of brake action, regardless of the version.
A resident of Campinas (SP) described losing the vehicle’s brakes during a simple parking maneuver.
This situation raised concerns due to the potential risk of accidents.
In total, ten similar complaints are registered on the Reclame Aqui platform, with emphasis on cases of accelerated wear of the brake pads.
A female driver from São Paulo reported that, with only 7,000 km driven, the passenger side pads were completely worn out, resulting in damage to the brake disc.
According to her, Renault classified the issue as “natural wear,” but performed the repair as a courtesy.

Official Position Of Renault On The Complaints
In response to the inquiries sent, Renault do Brasil stated that the reported cases are “isolated and unrelated”, emphasizing that each consumer who sought the Customer Service was or is being attended to according to the company’s standards.
So far, there is no record of an official announcement regarding a new recall or change in the service protocol related to the reported problems.
The manufacturer emphasizes that all calls are evaluated individually and that technical assistance is available to guide and support owners who identify any abnormality in the vehicle’s operation.
Repercussions Among Consumers On Social Media And Reclame Aqui
The dissatisfaction of Renault Kardian 2024 owners is reflected in testimonials published across various channels.
Advertising professional Celso de Almeida Junior, from Jundiaí (SP), complained about the slowness of the multimedia center in his Kardian Evo 2024, which, according to him, “sometimes disconnects and does not reconnect until the car is turned off and on again.”
Other reports highlight the need for constant visits to the dealership and concerns about vehicle safety, especially in light of the braking failures and instability of the automatic transmission.
Impact Of Failures On The Compact SUV Market
The compact SUV segment is one of the most competitive in the Brazilian market.
Models like Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen T-Cross, Jeep Renegade, and Nissan Kicks account for a significant portion of sales, forcing manufacturers to invest in technology and reliability.
The arrival of the Renault Kardian turbo was met with high expectations, as the model presents itself as a modern option, equipped with an efficient engine and a robust technology package.
However, the series of reported failures may affect consumer perception and impact future sales.
This episode serves as a warning for consumers attentive to the reputation of new launches, reinforcing the importance of effective after-sales service, especially when safety issues are involved, such as braking failures and transmission problems.
In light of reports concerning the multimedia center, transmission, and brakes of the Renault Kardian 2024, is it worth considering options like the Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen T-Cross, Jeep Renegade, or Nissan Kicks?
