The Scientific Police of Santa Catarina has opened a public competition of great technical relevance and mobilizes professionals from various fields. In total, the announcement offers 60 vacancies for criminal experts, including immediate filling and reserve registration, with an initial salary of R$ 27,737.24, as announced in December 2025.

From now on, the selection stands out for its high remuneration and technical requirements. Additionally, candidates can register until January 19, 2026, exclusively online, with a fee of R$ 300, according to official rules.

Validity of the Competition and General Rules of the Announcement

According to the announcement, the competition is valid for two years, counted from the homologation of the final result. However, the administration can extend this period only once, for the same period, following administrative criteria.

Regarding the specialties, the competition encompasses several higher education fields. Among them, are environmental expertise, audio and image, aeronautical sciences, biological sciences, applied social sciences, civil engineering, geology and mining, computer science, mechanical, mechatronics, and materials engineering, forensic medicine, forensic medicine with psychiatry, veterinary medicine, dentistry, and chemistry.

Adjustment in retirement for 2026 is redefined after reviewing the minimum wage, which changes correction indices applied by INSS, alters benefits and reorganizes the financial structure of retirees in light of an adjusted inflation scenario and limited increase

Rigorous Stages Evaluate Technical and Physical Preparation

Regarding the stages, candidates face a rigorous and sequential selection process. Firstly, they take the objective test, which is eliminatory and classificatory, scheduled for February 22, 2026.

Next, candidates go through the physical fitness test, psychological evaluation, title evaluation, toxicological examination and social investigation. Within this set, only the title analysis is strictly classificatory.

Test Locations Ensure Statewide Coverage

Furthermore, the organization conducts the objective test in Blumenau, Caçador, Chapecó, Criciúma, Florianópolis, Joinville, and Lages, which ensures broad regional distribution and facilitates access for candidates in Santa Catarina.

Official Timetable Defines Key Dates of the Competition

According to the Foundation for Socioeconomic Studies and Research (Fepese), the organizing committee, the timetable is already set. Candidates can request exemption from the fee until December 26, 2025.

Subsequently, the organization announces the test locations on February 18, 2026. Following this, the physical fitness test takes place on March 28 and 29, 2026.

Meanwhile, the psychological evaluation occurs on April 25 and 26, and the toxicological examination takes place between April 23 and May 4, 2026. Finally, the organizing committee publishes the final result on June 22, 2026.

In this scenario, the competition solidifies as a strategic opportunity for highly qualified professionals. At the same time, the limited number of vacancies and the technical requirements increase competitiveness.
