Agreement Aims to Boost Local Businesses in Global E-Commerce with Technical Training and Platform Support
Shopee, one of today’s largest e-commerces, will sign a new partnership with ApexBrasil on July 30, 2025, during the E-Xport Meeting in São Paulo.
The goal is to empower micro and small Brazilian companies to enter international e-commerce through practical actions, such as technical training and direct support.
Training and Direct Support Promise to Expand Brazilian Presence
With the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Shopee and ApexBrasil commit to promote the internationalization of small Brazilian businesses.
The actions will be carried out mainly through webinars, technical training, and specialized operational support.
These initiatives aim not only to provide knowledge but also to offer practical tools for local entrepreneurs to expand their operations beyond national territory.
Since entering the Brazilian market in 2020, Shopee has gathered more than 3 million active local sellers.
The platform has established itself as one of the largest in the national e-commerce.
According to data from the company itself, about one-third of the Brazilian population accesses the marketplace monthly.
This highlights Shopee’s central role in the digital economy.
Moreover, over 90% of sales made on the platform are by national retailers.
This scenario reinforces the importance of technical support to elevate these businesses in international markets.

Brazilian E-Commerce Aims for Global Expansion with Strategic Support
Focused on expanding the reach of national entrepreneurs, the agreement between Shopee and ApexBrasil arises as a strategic response to the growing demand for internationalization.
Even though many of these businesses have emerged in the digital environment, most still face technical and operational barriers to sell abroad.
Therefore, the training actions promise to gradually transform this scenario.
These actions will raise the competitiveness standard of small Brazilian businesses in the global market.
This movement aligns with ApexBrasil’s policy.
The institution seeks to promote exports through digitization and strategic insertion into global marketplaces.
Combining Shopee’s reach and ApexBrasil’s institutional expertise, the partnership represents a concrete growth opportunity for thousands of companies.
The focus is primarily on those that, until now, had not envisioned real export possibilities.
Expectations are that, with this support, many micro and small Brazilian companies will gain international visibility by 2025.
This will open doors for new clients, investments, and strategic partnerships.
