SpaceX's new partnership with T-Mobile promises to revolutionize connectivity in areas without coverage, with support for smartphones from brands such as Samsung, Apple, Motorola and Google. Starlink access will be possible directly from the devices, without extra antennas.
Starting in July 2025, users of compatible smartphones will be able to connect to the internet via satellite for free, thanks to an agreement between the US operator T-Mobile and SpaceX's Starlink satellite network. The news was announced by media outlets such as the O Antagonista portal and confirmed in interviews and materials from specialized press, such as the websites UAI and EM Brasil.
This initiative aims to mainly benefit residents of remote areas or those without traditional mobile network coverage, taking advantage of the infrastructure Starlink's orbital satellite, which already operates with thousands of low-orbit satellites. The connection will be made directly from cell phones, without the need for antennas or additional devices.
Cell phones compatible with Starlink service
The list of smartphones eligible for Starlink service is extensive and includes popular brands in Brazil. According to a survey by EM Brasil, Apple devices, such as the iPhone 14, 15 and 16 models, are included. Samsung's Galaxy line is also included, with models from the A14 series to the A54, in addition to the S line (S21 to S25) and the foldable Z Flip 3 to Z Flip 6.

Motorola is present with the Razr (2024), Razr Plus, Edge and the Moto G Power 5G (2024) models. Google is participating with the new Pixel 9 line. UAI Notícias highlighted that all devices need to be updated with the latest version of the operating system to ensure full compatibility with satellite functionality.
How will free satellite internet work?
The connection will be possible through satellites in low Earth orbit, known as LEO (Low Earth Orbit), which provide higher speeds and lower latency compared to traditional geostationary satellites. Starlink's internet will be transmitted directly to the smartphone, without relying on terrestrial towers, something that, according to CNN Brasil, is a significant innovation for the telecommunications sector.
Experts consulted by UAI state that, initially, the speed will be sufficient for emergency calls, messages and basic navigation. service will be gradually expanded and should allow voice and video calls, file downloads and live broadcasts.
Expanding connectivity in remote areas
Satellite technology is seen as a game changer in the fight against digital exclusion. According to data from Anatel, more than 4 municipalities Brazilians still face difficulties mobile coverage. The inclusion of Starlink in this context paves the way for projects to universalize internet access, especially in the Amazon, the northeastern hinterland and isolated communities in the South and Southeast.
The T-Mobile and SpaceX partnership was initially announced in the United States, but Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, has already stated that the idea is to expand the service to several countries. In Brazil, Starlink already operates commercially in rural areas and regions where other operators do not reach.
Long live Elon Musk!
Hooray!

Net played to attract an audience without internet, without an audience without money. Paying to enter the store is stupidity. Great ideas and great business. Paid Internet is asking to enter the store to buy. 《Think》…
China has already said that it will make the internet free for the whole world. This **** **** is just afraid of the competition. “Fool me, I like it”
Look at the comment. Comparing the Chinese **** to Musk and still calling him a Nazi5t is the height of stupidity.
