Group T2 Drives the Use of Clean Energy in Curitiba and Transforms Local Entertainment into an Example of Sustainability and Innovation.

In a global scenario where the energy transition has become a priority, the role of cities and local companies in adopting clean energy is rapidly increasing.

In Brazil, this movement gains even more strength as the country prepares to host COP30, the global climate conference that will take place in Belém, in Pará, in November 2025.

Among the examples that show it is possible to unite culture, innovation and environmental responsibility is the Group T2, known for iconic businesses in Curitiba’s nightlife, such as Club Vibe and Fun’iki Rooftop.

Thus, the company has become a reference by implementing a solar photovoltaic energy system capable of meeting a significant portion of its operations’ electricity consumption, marking a new chapter in the history of sustainable entertainment in Curitiba.

The initiative covers about 50% of the annual electricity consumption of the two venues and places the group among the first companies in the entertainment sector to adopt clean energy solutions in Curitiba.

More than a technological choice, the project represents a direct response to the global challenge of reducing emissions and rethinking the use of natural resources.

In this way, this transformation reflects a global trend in which sustainability has ceased to be a differential and has become a necessity, shaping the behavior of companies and consumers.

Additionally, Group T2’s project arises at a time when Brazil is expanding the debate on green economy and carbon neutrality.

The country has the potential to lead the production of clean energy, thanks to an abundance of natural resources and the advancement of public policies aimed at the sector.

In Curitiba, initiatives like this directly impact the awareness of the population and create new, more sustainable business models, which, in turn, strengthens the city’s environmental identity.

Clean Energy and Brazil’s Role in the Global Transition

The history of clean energy in Brazil gained momentum in the early 2000s, when incentive programs and new legislation began to boost the use of renewable sources.

From that moment on, the country started to explore the possibilities of distributed generation more consistently.

Over time, solar energy grew significantly, driven by the decrease in installation costs and the expansion of credit lines.

According to the Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy (ABSOLAR), Brazil surpassed 37 gigawatts of installed capacity in 2024, representing about 17% of the national electric matrix.

For this reason, the country has solidified its position among the ten largest generators of solar energy in the world, demonstrating that Brazil’s natural potential is a global competitive advantage.

Curitiba, historically known for its urban planning and environmental innovation, has always favored sustainable initiatives.

Since the 1970s, when the municipality began integrated public transport policies and expanded green areas, the city has established itself as an example of conscious urbanism.

Thus, the adoption of clean energy in Curitiba arises as a natural extension of this trajectory.

In recent years, the municipality has encouraged energy solutions in schools, public buildings, and cultural centers.

This advancement demonstrates that sustainability can and should be part of urban routine, integrating leisure, education, transport, and consumption.

By investing in clean energy, Curitiba reinforces its image as an innovative city and simultaneously fosters a lasting cultural shift.

The Partnership Between Group T2 and Heineken

The Group T2, in partnership with Heineken, implemented its photovoltaic project after various actions aimed at sustainability, such as the use of returnable bottles and awareness campaigns.

This collaboration reflects a convergence of purposes: to transform entertainment into a space for environmental innovation.

According to Jeje Civitate, a partner of the group, Heineken was essential in sparking the initiative, providing technical knowledge and financial support to enable the clean energy project.

Today, half of the energy used by Club Vibe and Fun’iki Rooftop comes from the sun — a remarkable achievement that inspires other businesses.

The photovoltaic system integrates a real-time monitoring platform, allowing for generation tracking and consumption adjustment with efficiency and transparency.

In this way, automation ensures cost predictability and reduces environmental impact, without compromising the quality of sound, lighting, or the experience offered to the audience.

Thus, Group T2 demonstrates that it is possible to balance fun, technology and ecological consciousness.

In addition to the positive environmental impact, the partnership strengthens the positioning of brands in the market.

Companies that adopt sustainable practices achieve greater audience loyalty, especially among younger generations, who value concrete actions in favor of the environment.

Group T2 and Heineken reduce costs and emissions while creating a purpose-driven narrative that adds value to the entertainment experience.

Entertainment as a Vector of Sustainability

The adoption of solar energy by the entertainment sector has symbolic and practical value.

Symbolic because it demonstrates that leisure, traditionally associated with high energy consumption, can reinvent itself with environmental responsibility.

Practical because it reduces dependence on non-renewable sources, decreases greenhouse gas emissions, and brings financial stability.

As a result, the electricity bill becomes predictable, and the investment turns into savings.

The concept of sustainable entertainment is growing in Brazil and around the world.

Show venues, restaurants, and events seek alternatives to reduce environmental impact, from the use of reusable cups to waste reuse.

In the case of Group T2, the goal is to go beyond solar generation.

The project includes increasing the share of renewable sources, investing in efficient lighting, optimizing refrigeration systems, and developing new partnerships with brands aligned with ESG practices.

These actions strengthen the institutional image and influence the entire supply chain and partners.

By investing in clean energy, Group T2 creates a multiplier effect that encourages other local businesses to follow the same path.

This collaborative behavior is essential for Curitiba to advance towards a low-carbon economy, where each sector contributes to reducing environmental impacts.

Curitiba as a Reference in Renewable Energy

Curitiba has the potential to become one of the most sustainable capitals in the country.

The city, which already stands out for its quality of life and mobility policies, is now emerging as a reference in the field of renewable energy.

Initiatives like those of Group T2 complement public and private projects that diversify the local energy matrix and reduce dependence on fossil sources.

The search for clean energy in Curitiba aligns with a global movement towards low-carbon electricity, which is shaping the future of the economy.

The energy transition has become inevitable, and the success of this journey depends on the union between governments, companies, and citizens.

The example of Group T2 shows that traditionally distant sectors from the climate debate can contribute significantly to accelerating change.

In addition to private initiatives, Curitiba strengthens programs to encourage the microgeneration of solar energy and electric mobility.

These measures complement the strategy of making the city a reference in urban sustainability, connecting infrastructure, innovation, and quality of life.

Consequently, the energy future of the capital of Paraná is increasingly being drawn as clean and efficient.

A Future Powered by Clean Energy

The adoption of solar panels by entertainment spaces sends a powerful message to the public.

People who visit Club Vibe or Fun’iki Rooftop experience sustainability in a concrete way and become agents of awareness.

This impact, even if silent, transforms habits and inspires new generations to value responsible practices.

In the future, Curitiba should continue attracting investments and projects focused on renewable energy, reinforcing its image as an intelligent and sustainable city.

Group T2, by incorporating clean energy into its daily routine, reduces costs, decreases emissions, and inspires other entrepreneurs to follow the same path.

Finally, curitiba’s entertainment scene, which has always represented innovation and cultural vanguard, is now also establishing itself as a reference in environmental responsibility.

The story that Curitiba is writing is that of a city that understands that development and sustainability go hand in hand.

When a nightclub generates its own solar energy and turns it into a model of conscious management, the impact extends beyond the walls of the business.

It spreads throughout society, showing that the future can be vibrant, responsible, and powered by clean energy.
