Japanese automaker launches mini Hilux in 2024 to compete with prices below R$55 or US$10 without direct conversion!
Toyota, renowned for its iconic Hilux pickup truck, is ready to shake up the market with the announcement of a compact model, the IMV0. This new project, inspired by the classic Bandeirante, promises to be a versatile mini Hilux and adaptable to different uses, scheduled to hit the market in 2024 for around $10 (ten thousand dollars), or R$ 55 thousand with direct conversion to an average exchange rate of R$ 5,00 or to improve, an addition of federal taxes that include imports of +78,6%, that is, R$ 98.230,00 in total .
Initially presented in Indonesia as Ranga, the IMV0 concept stands out for its versatility, being able to transform into a food truck, charging platform or even a charging station for electric vehicles. This compact version of the Hilux promises to be a practical and economical solution for a variety of uses.
MINI HILUX: Models adapted for each market
The mini Hilux will be launched in South Africa in 2024 under the name Stallion, reviving a smaller pickup truck that was a success in the region in the 80s. The model is expected to receive different names in each market, equipped with a 2.0 four-cylinder gasoline engine, with possible diesel, hybrid and electric versions.

Specifications and Competition
Measuring 5,3 meters long, 1,78 meters wide, 1,74 meters high and with a wheelbase of 3 meters, the mini Hilux will compete with models such as the Kia Bongo and Hyundai HR, which are 4,82 meters long , 1,74 meters wide, 2,1 meters high and 2,41 meters wheelbase. Larger vehicles like the Iveco Daily and Volkswagen Delivery are also rivals, despite being more spacious.
Affordable price
Toyota predicts that the IMV0 will be sold in some Asian countries for around 10 thousand dollars, equivalent today to around R$55.000, without mandatory safety features in some markets, such as airbags and ABS brakes. In Brazil, the model can be sold with a diesel engine if it carries more than one ton, and local production can be an alternative to avoid high import taxes, with the Argentine Zárate factory being a viable option.
Innovation with new type of fuel: Hydrogen
In addition to the mini Hilux, Toyota is developing a hydrogen-powered Hilux prototype in the UK, with components from the Toyota Mirai. With a predicted range of 600 km, the hydrogen Hilux aims to be an ecological alternative on the market, comparable to the Australian version with a 2,8-liter turbodiesel engine, which travels around 1.150 km between fill-ups.
I'm waiting for the launch, I'm going to use it in AGRO's field services.
It will be sold here in Brazil for R$55.000,00 + Taxes, you can expect something around R$88.000,00
Brazil is a disgrace when it comes to tax collection!
Don't forget about the hidden profit margin of multinationals.
R$55,00 without tax R$110,00 with tax. Let's eat picanha...
only taxes, there is no profit from resale, there is no shipping, there are no franchises, ****, Bolsanristas are rich, why do they talk about value??
It wouldn’t be any different with Bozó…
With Bozó it would be much worse, it would only be for the rich!
That's right!! Supporting Deputies and Senators is a luxury. Not to mention 5 thousand city halls each with 20 councilors, on average.
If you get that amount, we'll applaud 👏👏
I think it will be much more
You are being very optimistic!
The entry value is without taxes, at the end the value of this pick UP goes to 180 thousand
For that price it's worth buying a normal Hilux...
a popular car cost 100 thousand in taxes with **** in power
I guarantee it won't cost less than 130k
A dream for me, as the owner of a small metalworking company... If Lassance offered installments of 200 reais, I would try to finance one, it would be an honor for my MEI company.
