Hyundai Santa Cruz has a bold and modern design, inspired by the Tucson SUV
One of the main features of the Hyundai Santa Cruz is its bold and modern design. Inspired by the Tucson mid-size SUV, the pickup truck features fluid lines and stylized elements that make it unique in the Brazilian market.
At the front, the Santa Cruz displays a new grille with straighter and chrome elements, as well as a redesigned bumper with gray details. The full LED optical set gives the vehicle a high-tech and sophisticated look.
On the sides, the pickup features cutouts and a floating C-pillar, as well as wheels up to 19 inches that accentuate its sporty look. At the rear, the full LED lights that invade the trunk lid and the name “Santa Cruz” in low relief complete the elegant and modern design.
Hyundai pickup truck is bigger than rival Fiat Toro
Despite its compact silhouette, the Hyundai Santa Cruz surprises with its impressive dimensions. At 4,97 meters long, it is larger than the Fiat Toro, but smaller than the Chevrolet Rampage. Its wheelbase of 3 meters, width of 1,90 meters and height of 1,69 meters make it a generous pickup truck in terms of internal space.
The Santa Cruz bucket also stands out, with a capacity of 935 liters and supporting up to 750 kilos of cargo. This combination of dimensions and load capacity makes it a versatile and practical option for a variety of uses, from transporting light loads to carrying out leisure activities.
Powerful and efficient motorization
The Hyundai Santa Cruz will be offered in Brazil with two engine options, both combustion. The entry-level version will feature a 2.5-liter four-cylinder aspirated engine, which delivers up to 190 horsepower and 24,9 kgfm of torque, coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The more expensive versions of the pickup will be equipped with a 2.5 turbo engine, also with four cylinders, but with direct fuel injection. This engine is capable of generating 285 horsepower and 42,9 kgfm of torque, being coupled to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This configuration offers surprising performance and satisfactory consumption averages.
It is worth mentioning that, for now, the Hyundai Santa Cruz will not have hybrid versions, whether light, plug-in or conventional. However, this is a possibility that can be explored in the future, following market trends.
Sophisticated and technological interior
The interior of the Hyundai Santa Cruz was designed to offer a premium experience to its occupants. The dashboard and multimedia center were repositioned higher, unifying the look and creating a high-tech style.
The internal finish is of excellent quality, with the use of noble materials in all areas. The internal space, despite being a little small, like in the Fiat Toro, comfortably accommodates up to four adults.
In terms of equipment, the Santa Cruz stands out with items such as electrically adjustable front seats, heating and ventilation, electronic parking brake, driving mode selector, induction cell phone charging, electric sunroof, two-zone climate control and a Bose premium sound system.
Combination of advanced technologies and safety features puts Hyundai Santa Cruz on a higher level compared to its competitors
The Hyundai Santa Cruz is equipped with a wide range of safety technologies and features. The 10-inch digital panel is fully configurable, while the same-sized multimedia center controls various vehicle functions, such as traction, safety and connectivity.
In terms of safety, the pickup has traction and stability controls, airbags, anti-rollover system, blind spot warning, autonomous emergency braking, collision alert, automatic high beam switching, lane change alert, animal detector, pedestrians and cyclists, as well as adaptive autopilot with stop and go function.
This combination of advanced technologies and safety features sets Hyundai Santa Cruz apart from its competitors, offering customers a safe and feature-rich driving experience.
Arrival on the Brazilian market
The Hyundai Santa Cruz is scheduled to arrive on the Brazilian market in 2025. Its arrival is eagerly awaited, as the pickup promises to revolutionize the segment with its bold design, cutting-edge technologies and surprising performance.
As for prices, the Hyundai Santa Cruz is expected to be sold in Brazil for between R$250.000 and R$300.000, if imported. If the brand chooses to produce the pickup locally, prices could be between R$200.000 and R$250.000.
Regardless of the marketing strategy, the arrival of the Hyundai Santa Cruz represents a unique opportunity for Brazilian customers looking for a compact pickup truck with a modern design, advanced technology and outstanding performance. This novelty promises to shake up the market and raise standards in the pickup truck segment in the country.

I have a 2011 Hyundai Vera Cruz, a car that was above the standards of its time and even today compared to most current cars! I also have a 2024 Fiat Toro Volcano with the Black package, a sensational car! I'll be honest, the Hyundai Santa Cruz wouldn't be successful here, especially if it were imported. The Toro is unbeatable in its category, starting with the price and everything it delivers. They talked so much about the Montana and I don't even see the Montana on the streets! So in my opinion, the Santa Cruz won't be successful here!
Cars of this type have to have a strong front and not a pretty front, they are making pickup trucks with a lot of makeup, they destroyed the DNA of these cars, as they did with the two-door sports cars like the Gol GTI, now this type of car is a “sports” car with four doors, that is why many restore old cars and others want to have one..!!
God forbid!!!
I already had a toucan SV
Yes, I am interested in buying a pick-up truck. However, the price is above the standard for pickup trucks in Brazil.
I would like to know about the Chevrolet Rampage
I was just going to say that…
